www.mittromney.com/
www.joinrudy2008.com/
www.mikehuckabee.com/
www.johnmccain.com

Put these in the site www.alexa. com

These debates just keep boosting traffic to a new level on Ron Paul's site.

Mike's site comes a distant second, passing Rudy's site since after the Sep debates.

The excitement for Fred will die down as he quickly blends into the crowd.
The excitement for Ron Paul will continue to grow as he is so fresh and exciting.
You all know i am right.:)

Zoom in on the 7-day graph, and you can see that we're still beating out the abortion lobbyist, even with his little spike.

Fred actually picked a bad time to announce, as he had to share media attention with the debate. I mean, what would you rather hear about, the announcement of some washed up actor turned lobbyist joining a packed race, or the Champion of the Constitution cleaning up the stage with the rest of the wannabes?

One thing I noticed was the humility of RP's site compared to the bombast of Slick Romney's site.

It sorta jumps out at you.

Doesn't the lobbyist run a blog with commenting over on his site? (I'm certainly not going to hit the page to find out.) If so, yeah, he's going to get page views. I think RP runs his blog with comment off MySpace, no? Imagine in all those page views were on RonPaul2008.com!

I wonder why Fred chickened out of the debate? Why didn't he announce right before the debate and get in it?

He wants to be seen as above the pack from the outset - remember the #1 rule of Primary politics is to engage the frontrunner and if you are the frontrunner, to ignore the rest. But the timing did backfire on him some. It especially was harmful to him in NH where it has alienated lots of voters.

Many folks (inc. advertisers) are finding this place a bit more reliable than Alexa, with a full demographic breakdown. It's not perfect, but I've been using it myself to test its results and it's a fair indicator.

I wonder why Fred chickened out of the debate? Why didn't he announce right before the debate and get in it?

The short answer:

Jay Leno has more viewers than that Last Debate.

Why share time with 8 other guys with only 30 seconds to respond to a question (if you're lucky enough to even have an opportunity to answer a question) when you get a whole 15-30 minutes with just yourself and the host, and able to answer questions asked at your own leisure?

More viewers, and not having to share the stage with your rivals, more exposure, avoidance of possible risk. It's hard to deny the advantages of declaring on Leno's show instead of right before the debate.

Of course, there were drawbacks such as alienating NH voters and getting blasted for his lateness. But you can't blame him and his staff for going with this strategy.

Of course, he could have gone for the double whammy by declaring on Leno's show and THEN going on the debates..........
