She must have been there at the beginning. The first time we were at the NYSE we had split up, leaving a contingent at the FR while we took a little stroll. 75-100 sounds about right. The fliers did say Gov't Controlled and I might have changed that (and a few other things) had I the time. In hindsight, it was not that bad of a thing. In a sense the FRB is Gov't controlled and the inside covered the issues in more detail. Here are the files:

While criticism is always easy for us, getting other people to think about these issues is not so easy. The flyers did that, and I wonder if they would have read it on CNN if it had it blatently stated that the FRB is a private bank owned by a bunch of crooks...

I was thinking the same thing when I was at the protest the other day. This is just the beginning. This message is going to spread far and wide over the next couple years, and millions will be joining us.

But it makes me worry, because I have been through something similar before. I watched (and participated in) the leftist anti-war protest movement grow exponentially, and it culminated with the movement being completely hijacked by some opportunistic democrat politicians who had no desire to end the war, only a desire for power. How can we prevent our movement from the same fate?

The reason people get it confused is because it is more of a hybrid than totally private or totally governmental. It is private corporation given governmental powers and the force of law.

I am so sick of all the needless debate over the question of is the FED private or not. Is that why you hate the FED? Because it is a private bank instead of a federal bank? Counterfeiting is wrong period. No matter if a private organization does it or a government organization does it.

It is a HUGE distraction and waste of energy. The fed should be ended because it steals and causes inflation and the business cycle and all their evil byproducts.

RPH, your writeup gave a very good decription. Sounded like a great day!!

On the flyer, the lady on CNN had the middle section highlighted and read your answer for, "what is the federal reserve?"

She read aloud:

"A government-controlled central bank that
causes the boom and bust business cycle by
creating money out of thin air."

It's not the best answer, but she did read it on the air, which was good.

I would reword this, but everything else on the flyer looked pretty good!!

It might be easier to just say its a private central banking cartel, with a private backroom, and a government front desk. Its about as Federal as Federal Express. I like everything after the word, "that," its all good!

I'd like to use your flyer myself, actually.
