Welp, Bush just had another laugh on us. He raided our treasury for another 3-4 trillion. When are people going to wake up? Call your worthless CongressFolks and tell them not to release the remaining $350 billion.

Do you understand why Naomi wrote Shock Doctrine when she did, don't you? It was predictive programming. Her book frames current events in a certain way, which is actually quite a limited frame.

And here's an excerpt from the article that shows you how Naomi talks about the crises but then mislead the reader about Obama:

So, there is room to move, but, you know, the logic that has really gripped lawmakers is that they can’t rock the boat. And we hear this across the board, really, in the talk of, you know, who to appoint as Treasury Secretary, how to approach economic policy in this period. We hear all these phrases—you know, continuity, smooth transition. And really, that’s code for more of the same, because what the market wants is for there not to be tough regulation, is for the free money to keep flowing. What will upset the market, what will create a rocky transition, is if it’s clear that there’s a new sheriff in town, that they’re going to have to follow the law, that they’re going to cut off all of this corporate welfare, there’s going to be real accountability, real conditions attached to the money. You know what? The market really doesn’t want that.

Unfortunately for the market, voters have just voted for change. They voted for a candidate who really turned the election into a referendum on this economic policy of rampant deregulation. So you’ve really got a problem here. How do you reconcile the market’s desire for status quo with the voters’ demand for real change? There is no way to do that without a few bumps along the way. And I’m quite concerned that what we’re seeing from Obama’s team is an accepting of this logic that they need to give the market what it wants, which is continuity, smooth transition, which is really just code for more of the same. And when you hear names like Larry Summers being bandied about for Treasury Secretary, that’s feeding the market exactly what it wants, which is more of the same.

Seriously, since when has Obama been in favor of deregulation that benefits the little guy. This is outrageous...Obama received more campaign contributions from Goldman Sachs than any other candidate.

Forum participants need to start seeing how these Left AND Right pundits manipulate

Her man Obama voted for this bailout. It is funny how the democrats are totally forgeting this.
The rank and file republican members of congress were the biggest blok voting against the bailout.

You say komrade a lot. I understand a comrade to be a friend. Can you define komrade for me, because I don't know.

I suppose it's calling her a communist. It's a word that many leftist, socialist, and communist country's loyalists used.

I don't think you have to use a 'k' to connect it to communism though.

Naomi Klein is either an ignorant, or a horrible and deceptive individual. Unfortunately, I think it's the latter.

I agree that it is the latter, but I actually don't think she knows what she is. She was groomed for this role from an early age, and is unable to see her own dualities, like many here on the forum and in the general population can't see their own contradictions.

The Nation Magazine brought her-in in 2001, shortly after 911. I think that was setup at high levels. They then promoted her and the entire "alt" media helped push awareness of her and her work. This appears to me to be a fairly standard means of operation...if you look around you can see quite a number of young female faces in media now telling us how to think.

Look at me, I can highlight stuff too.

You guys really need to be a little more willing to delve deeper into what these people are talking about. I know they're not calling for the end of the fed or things like that, BUT THAT'S WHAT WE ARE HERE FOR!!!! We are supposed to share our ideas and hope they come around to our viewpoint. Damnit, if I was a little more paranoid I would think you guys are the governemnt cointel agents, trying to divide and conquer an emerging movement.

I think Klein is a Libertarian plant in the leftist circles. She's gaining their trust, and when it becomes so apparent that Obama is every bit as dangerous as Bush, she'll publicly renounce her support with another book and support a libertarian.

But I'm an optimist. She's too smart to be this stupid...
