A lot of the people voting for McCain live in rural counties, areas where college educations are likely much harder to come by. The main difference here is money. Obama voters have the money to go to college, nevermind that intellectual elitists (that occupy most college campuses in particular big city schools) vote overwhelmingly democratic.

It was a lot easier than you think. They looked at the states past voting records(easy to find) and then figured which presidents were dumb and which were smart and threw the two together, and there you go!
