For the first time, the weekly Democratic address has been released as a web video. It will also continue to air on the radio.

President-elect Obama plans to to publish these weekly updates through the Transition and then from the White House.

Today's address from the President-elect concerns the current economic crisis.

Notice on the YT page, comments & ratings are not allowed. God forbid the slaves should have a voice when these crooks steal our hard earned money and give it away to their criminal friends.

Obama is a joke.

Service to the STATE, and sacrifice of YOU. Screw that! PASS!

None of his videos allow you to comment. Neither does his profile page. He'll never open himself up to criticism from the real world, if he does it will be on some filtered forum from CNN or something.

He's not up for discussion. If you are, then you're backwards and not ready for the hopeful change.

Shouldn't he be at the G-2 summit if he is going to be our leader for the next 7 years?

And it's also nice he keeps saying the same things over and over again.

I think I'll start uploading a copy of it and leave comments open.

isn't service and sacrifice a code phrase for national service (and national service is a code phrase for the draft)

Yeah, I guess.

He put his agenda back up on his website! He added a lot.

he really is trying to be the next FDR. FDR used the tech of the day to communicate with the "little people" with his weekly fireside chats... now Obama is following suit with his own little weekly "fireside" chat

the next time we win FDR and Lincoln have to be removed from the money, and the memorials torn down.

Hmm, you're right. Lets just hope these "fireside chats" don't end up on TV to stir the ravening hordes into a frenzy. Remember, the internet is "lala land" and doesn't count, that's why Ron Paul didn't win the primaries, right?

First off, I can't stand watching him speak. I don't know why, but I feel like he's trying to hypnotize me or something. :p

Second, this message reeks of Socialism.

Third, I hate how he never ever gets into specifics. He's going to create jobs and make healthcare affordable.

HOW? It's like when parents are having money problems and they say to their five-year-old, "Well, times are gonna be tough, and we're all gonna have to pitch in around the house, but it's gonna be okay." The way he speaks is so condescending. He has no respect for the intelligence of the general public.

...hmm... then again, I guess I can't blame him for that. :o

Perhaps comments aren't allowed because of the shear numbers of unintelligible remarks that would be posted by driveling idiots and worshipers. Any real discussion would be muted and ostracized.
