Some voter folks just tend to pick up on "irrelevant and insignificant" quicker than some other voters do. ;) :D

I think the problem is that third party candidates seem less viable with every election. If we could convince a whole lot of people that voting third party isn't a waste of a vote, then they'd have a chance.

But then that would merely be convincing them to falsely believe another LIE, wouldn't it? ;)

People don't have common sense...they act like their vote is going to be a tiebreaker vote that decides the outcome of the election...and they don't act that way during the primaries.
Here's the best argument I have found for 3rd parties

Sadly enough Badnarick was a better choice than Barr.
Count me as part of that 10%...I wrote in Ron Paul.

The problem is that the Ron Paul movement did not have someone to continue with
All of a sudden, the Paul campaign was over, and we all were desperately searching for a last minute candidate. And we never settled on one - our camp basically split up in 3+ directions. It's too bad that Dr. Paul could not be an independent or run on the Libertarian or Constitution Party tickets
I'm one of those who voted 3rd Party in 2004 and didn't in 2008

The article has nice sentiments, but ignores the illegitimacy of the system. He loses a few points for that.

I'm skeptical of that statistic. How did third parties get the same 1% they got in 2004? Are we really supposed to believe that 90% of third-party votes were from new voters?

Don't focus on sad news, focus on the good news. For example this last election, those 2008 Obama voters learned what's it liked to be screwed. I voted for Bush in 2004, reasons aside, I learned my lesson, and voted 3rd party in 2008- *for the first time*. I will continue to do so until we have a Constitution supporting leading candidate. So some of us are learning our lessons ;)

Volizer, you tell the truth about the 2 main parties, but I suspect that will fall on deaf ears on this forum. :(
