There are some of you who opposed the candidacy of Obama before his recent convincing election as President. We feel that it is time to let bygones be bygones. There are some who have indicated that they plan to continue to oppose Obama, but we feel that those people should set aside their divisiveness, backbiting, and dishonesty and line up behind Obama and his party to march in lockstep to the new, Greater America that Obama has promised. He has promised to provide food for the hungry, jobs for the poor, and to restore the rightful place of America in the eyes of the world. We feel that given that the majority of American people voted for him and given that the vast majority of the American press supports him, it would be churlish and unchristian for anyone to continue to oppose his policies. Besides, given the sorry state of the nation, how could things possibly get any worse? To those greedy and rapacious individuals who have taken advantage of the American working man and sucked the lifeblood out of the American economy, Obama has promised to give them what's coming to them! This is what Christ would want!

PS: Obama has announced that in the interest of a saner, safer, and less violent America, all American citizens are to turn in their firearms immediately. In the interest of peace, the church's doors will be open to accept firearms which are turned in. We will take them to the Democratic Party headquarters for you! Young or old? I guarantee when the plan goes through Congress, if the GOP filibusters it in the Senate, the youth vote will go from 70-30 Democrat to 80-20 GOP.

I think your taking the wrong approach - ask them if they thought REQUIRED national service, like Hitler did with the Hitler Youth would be a good thing - you know kind of like scouting and disaster relief and making kids take care of old people, etc?

You might also ask them (younger people), if they think it would be a good idea for them to give up a large chunk of their summer vacation to go to a REQUIRED government boot camp or do other UNPAID work for the government every year?

Completely agree. I have spoken to several people about this as well and many think it's a great idea. The youth in this country really do view the government as the answer to all social ills, and since they have not yet earned any significant amount of money they fail to understand just how destructive taxes necessary to fund an ever growing government are to both the economy and to freedom itself.

Interesting idea, it might work on some but there will always be those young people so completely indoctrinated that they would find any way to dismiss the comparison.

I've lost track of the number of people who have been demonized as the next "Hitler" just in the last 20 years- everyone from Saddam Hussein and Miloseveich, to Bush and Clinton, to Noriega and Ahmadinejad, to Barney Frank and Dick Cheney. I'm sure that if McCain had won, some of you would have been calling him "Hitler" as well. Its moronic.
