Republican Compares Obama to Hitler
By BEN EVANS

AP

WASHINGTON (Nov. 11) - A Republican congressman from Georgia said Monday he fears that President-elect Obama will establish a Gestapo-like security force to impose a Marxist dictatorship.

"It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he's the one who proposed this national security force," Rep. Paul Broun said of Obama in an interview Monday with The Associated Press. "I'm just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may — may not, I hope not — but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism."

Rep. Paul Broun, left, says President-elect Obama's idea for a civilian force is " exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union did."

Broun cited a July speech by Obama that has circulated on the Internet in which the then-Democratic presidential candidate called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

"That's exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union did," Broun said. "When he's proposing to have a national security force that's answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he's showing me signs of being Marxist."

Obama's comments about a national security force came during a speech in Colorado in which he called for expanding the nation's foreign service.

"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," Obama said in July. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

The Obama transition team declined to comment on Broun's remarks. But spokesman Tommy Vietor said Obama was referring in the speech to a proposal for a civilian reserve corps that could handle postwar reconstruction efforts such as rebuilding infrastructure — an idea endorsed by the Bush administration.

That's really offensive... not just to blacks but to Jews as well.

What if a black Congressman said that Bush reminded him of David Duke?

I know how it sounds.. but I try to stay away from political correctness..

just think about it. In 1930's Germany, they were in a depression just like us, at the hands of the international bankers.. Hitler was elected overwhelmingly to bring "Change" as well.. Obama is calling for a gestapo like civilian defense force that is as well funded as the military and as large at that. that is straight out of communist Russian and Nazi Germany.

he also has done everything he could to ban everything related to fire arms..

"I do not believe that people should be able to own guns" that is a quote from Barack Obama.

getting rid of the guns is the final plank in the communist playbook.. and also .. on election day he told his voters to take the day off... to show their power in numbers.. that is also straight out of the marxist playbook.

knowing and understanding history is invaluable.

just learn from history and watch what he does very closely, please dont be offended.

How is that offensive to blacks? Are you implying that Rep. Broun is saying that simply because Obama is black or does he think blacks are somehow analogous to Hitler? And just an fyi, there were other people killed by Hitler than the Jews. So, again if you're saying that's offensive to Jews then it must also be offensive to Slavs, Czechs, Gypsies, Catholics, etc. Of course, you conviently left these groups out of your post.

Straw-man FTL!

Ok so he killed more people... great. I'm saying to compare a black guy to a white racist who killed millions is offensive - it's kind of a no-brainer.

Aside from that it's drawing on issues that people don't remember the man for. It's like if I said "hey this guy is just like Charles Manson" and then when called on it I say "oh it's because they both drive Ford's".

But you just said it's racist against blacks. How is comparing one person to Hitler suddenly imply that you are now speaking in generalities? How many other people have been compared to Hitler? Was that also not a racist comment? By the way, Obama's half white, but I assume that isn't offensive, even though Hitler was white...sort of like comparing a person of Italian descent to Mussoulini(sp?).

There's your Wealth, Elitist, CFR, ruler for yah...

CHANGE BABY... oh the CHANGE is coming!

Look for the MOSSAD Zionist POS miget Rahm Emanuel to institute a simile of MOSSAD policies to the "Under Puppets"

as a footnote: the MSM are wondering if the Obama kids will go to public schools... when Michele Obama showed up for the BUSH PR meeting, she met with the 2 top private schools in Washington DC which can cost about $30K a year per child.

I wonder who's going to pay for that, oh and Obama is without a doubt 100% Elitist. There's more CHANGE!

He does have a point, unfortunately it is not politically correct to compare anyone to Hitler nowadays. He trivialized his entire argument by saying that. Even though his point is valid. The dems blackball machine will be in full swing i'm sure.

calling out a popular president's fascist policy is completely fair game. it is patriotic duty because the danger is always real, especially with a popular president.

i emailed my support for his statements. he seemed to appreciate the comments and asked if i could donate to his campaign. seems he went into debt.

i also told him to let the democrats hang themselves with their whining and told him everything wrong with the republican party and the government in general. the patriot act, the bilderbergs, corporate welfare, and everything else.

i did ask him to help protest the federal reserve as a good place to start to turn around the republican party.

even told him should promote some old-fashioned trust-busting in the media, energy, and agriculture sectors.

monopolies and centralization of wealth and power over key industries to the functioning democratic republic is very well in the principles of duty of a functioning free society. everyone as the right to land, natural resources, and the ability to compete without being bought out left and right.
