I work at a grocery store. A black woman came to my register with a big smile on her face. She was buying a People magazine - Obama was on the cover. She said she was going to start a collection.

I asked if she was going to frame it. :D

Just thought I'd share.

Anyone else run into enthusiastic supporters?

I had a really pi$$ed off Obama supporter block me and remove me from his MySpace friends list after I told him to enjoy his servitude under "Herr Obama."

Let me tell you, that just about broke my heart.

*sniff!*

Bunchies still loves me, though!!!

I go to AU. Almost every single person here is an overly enthusiastic Obama supporter, save for the Feminazis that are still angry about Hillary losing.

Knowing Hillary, she has a few tricks up her sleeve. She won't go quietly into the night, that's for sure...

Newspapers all over the country are selling outs because people are collecting them. That means none of them will be worth anything.

You're going into Poli. Sci. right? What do you intend to do after you get your degree(s)?

Oh, sure they will.

Many of the people enthusiastically buying them will very likely be burning them or purposefully putting them in bird cages within the next four years -- out of disgust for what Obama ends up actually doing.
:o

But chances are McCain/Palin stuff will be worth even more as collector's items (because no one will want to keep that crap around... if they loved McCain they'll want to forget/blame Palin, and if they loved Palin, they'll want to forget McCain !)

It's like my coworker/boss who LOVES the idea of redistribution of wealth and that taxpayers should have to bailout people who had bad mortgages, etc. She would love if the US became like Europe. She likes the idea of the NAU and everything. She thinks are Constitution is outdated and should be replaced. She likes the idea of One World Government.
It's people like her that I want to tell to go to Europe then and get the hell out of my country. If she or anyone else tries to take my Constitution away from me, I will not hesitate to shoot their ass to defend my rights and property. However, I can't say anything because she could easily have me fired... so I have to sit and stew in the anger and frustration she causes me to have when I'm around her.

The day before the election I was at an inner city mcdonalds, and the place was spontaneously bursting into "O-bam-a, O-bam-a" chants. I feared for my safety.

I suppose the world is rejoicing because they are all Socialist hellholes and America was constantly embarrassing them by being so successful, technologically and with the dominant entertainment media? Now that they have Komrade Obama in power they know the USA will now fall down to their lack of progress and wealth?

Reminds me... I wonder how long it'll take all these people who were just born and named "Barrack" to change their names in disgrace!!

I can totally understand why people in Kenya and Ghana are excited by Obama getting elected. Think about the economic and social conditions on most of their continent... war, famine, dictatorships. On top of this, they see Bush bombing the shit out of the middle east and ignoring the rest of the world. They think Obama will be different and change the way the world works. Of course, they're going to be sadly mistaken, which makes their situation all the more tragic.

I feel the same way about people of color here at home. Firstly, the mere fact that the economy is tanking will be enough to ensure Obama becomes (at the very least) a Jimmy Carter-like figure. I hope this doesn't set race relations back. But then again, maybe I do as if Obama's race figures into CFR-Bilderberg Shenanigans (as race has figured into The Politics of Division from the first) then things could wind up being very bad indeed. I can't help but think of the movie Head of State and the running gag of people getting shot because they're too close to Chris Rock or look too much like him.

Hi. I'm a pawn. What the hell is this game, which of us will be the first to be sacrificed, and is the goal worth it?

It's kind of funny seeing all the ":bunchies:" all over the place, now that the emoticon isn't there anymore.
