Lara Uselding, spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration, says more than 460 transportation security officers nationwide have been fired for theft since May 2003.

Here's one that stole over $200,000 of stuff

If you haven't noticed, TSA agents are usually bottom of the barrel types. The perfect people for a government job.

Many are inferior people that love to boss people around and feel powerful.

Once I went through airport security without showing an ID (this was about a year ago). There is one way to beat the system.

Yeah, a lot of them look like they are work release program types.

I've heard if you carry a flare gun in your luggage, they'll lock it up and not let anyone inspect it. Therefore, no theft. Haven't tried it though.

Yeah, a lot of them look like they are work release program types..Except that they are not. TSA has a lot of problems finding people to work for them not only because the job is tedious, but people who will do such a lame job for that amount of money, typically use drugs of some sort. Finding people who test clean once a month is a challenge apparently.

You just have to submit to the extra lubed cavity search.

How much did they charge for the extra warm lube? Some of them would rather hear you scream louder.

The TSA only hires the best and the brightest. If a few bad apples resort to stealing, it's because they aren't getting paid enough.

TSA’s Roadmap for Airport Surveillance Moves in a Dangerous Direction

“This roadmap appears to latch on to a perceived acceptance of biometrics as security keys while ignoring the pervasive challenges with accurately identifying individuals and the privacy risks associated with collecting massive amounts of biometric data.”
