It's odd that Obama taught Constitutional Law but hardly any of his policies seem based on it.

This is only a contradiction because of incorrect assumptions about what you're thinking "Constitutional Law" means.

When you take "Constitutional Law" at a law school, or teach it it really has nothing to do with the document itself, the original intent or any of that. That is not taught at all in Law school or in any "mainstrem" academic forum. "Constitutional Law" in the context of a typical law school actually means that you're an expert in the various re-interperative cases that undermined the Constitution and changed the application of it, and not the Constitution itself.
