Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania
Longtime moderate Republican Arlen Specter will be 80 in 2010. He announced on March 19, 2007 that he will seek a sixth term in 2010. The five-term Pennsylvanian, following the 2006 elections, lost his chairmanship of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee.
Arlen Specter is a bailout-loving neocon who needs to be ousted. If specter runs again, my prediction is that Rendell will not run against him as the two have a close relationship. It would be great if we could run a Paulist on the Democratic side.
