You're incorrect on both counts. The evidence that Laetrile is an effective control for cancer is overwhelming, and he definitely does still stand by it. It is not a silver bullet, however. It must be used in conjunction with other supplements. For example, if you do not have sufficient zinc in your system, no amount of Laetrile will help you.

I'll also add that someone close to me was recently diagnosed with cancer. In the process of researching alternative treatments, I came across a long list of testimonials for a particular medical practice which uses alternative treatments, including Laetrile. All of them were glowing endorsements from past patients, many of whom were condemned to death by practitioners of "orthodox" medicine (tumor burners, cutter-outers, and poisoners) only to be saved by alternative treatments.

Not knowing if these testimonials were legit, I chose one of the patients who lived fairly close to me (their cities and states was listed along with their full names), looked her up in the phone book, and called her. After explaining who I was, how I found her, and why I was calling, she told me her story in minute detail. She had indeed been a patient of this particular practice doctor, they had used a protocol that included healthy doses of Laetrile, and like so many others, she had amazing results.

Bates, former Congressman from back in the 1970s I think, then a banker for his 2nd career, until, he says, he realized he was performing "PFA Banking" = Pluck From Air.
