Did anyone else notice in Obama's acceptance speech he said "...sent a message to the world that we have never been just a collection of individuals..."

The battle begins.

The battle begins. The battle merely continues. It's been going on for millenia now. :( :p

This drifted past me, but my wife caught it, and I rewound the TiVo. These are chilling words, and the McCain-esque talk about "service" and "sacrifice" that ensued only underlined the point.

There needs to be a serious Gideon's Atlas Shrugged program carried out ASAP.

I'll need to watch the speech on Youtube.

The TV was giving me eerie vibes so I turned it off.

It's all there - no individualism, just subservience to a group. And he listed them all neatly at the beginning, about 8 of them, blacks, whites, gays, straights, etc.

You'd better be a card-carrying member of one of the favored groups or you're gonna be out in the cold.

Yeah, I tried to ignore it. :( Gave me flashbacks of "Come together for victory in Iraq, my friends!" ~shudder~
