What happen's to Obama's and Biden's Seats?

Since they're President/Vice President, who will take their senate seats?

The governor of the state gets to pick.. For example, since the governor of Illinois is a democrat, she will pick another democrat to fill Obama's seat.

I am just gonna spitball that the highest ranking official from their party (governor if the gov from their state is also Dem) gets to designate and then I believe in 2010 bothe Senate seats would be up for election (even if that was not the end of the normal senate term).

and Delaware has a Democratic Governor as well, so they're two "safe" seats for the Dems.

If this election ends the way I think it will, we'll end up with 59 Democrat Senators....that said, if McCain was elected, we'd probably have 60, as McCain would have to step down and the Governor of Arizona would pick a new one...and the governor there is a Democrat.
