Another TROLL!!! You say...

But no, I say this:

Now that the sheeple of America have turned our country's governance over to the Democrats in great majority, a great many changes will come about.

The changes will be great in scope, but not great in their results.

I say this. Perhaps it will take 4 years of painful socialist policies, promises undelivered, jobs lost, welfare states and government dependence fostered, commerce and trade stifled, liberties curtailed and the hopes and dreams of those whom believed in these failed practices being given a dose of harsh reality that what they we're told would be good for them and their country has proven to be a fallacy.

Change...real change...can be painful. And I say that these next 4 years will give this country the painful dose of reality it needs to begin to wake from the lazy slumber of a government nanny state, and begin to open it's eyes to the reality as former president Reagan said so eloquently: that government is not the solution to the problem....government IS the problem.

I agree pretty much with the OP.

Hopefully two years will be enough and we can get some liberty lovers elected in 2010.

Yeah, than how about trying to articulate something other than an immature response.

Has anything I've said above been terribly untrue.

Or perhaps your incapable of comprehending things that are written..so I'll break it down in small words so you will understand:

An Obama presidency will be good for showing just how bad their socialist policies will be for this country...maybe waking some up to a Libertarian mindset.

There, all better now.

Pfft. People aren't going to wake up. Maybe their eyes will peek open a little bit to see the light. But they'll just be lullabied back to sleep with more bullshit excuses like "democrats need 4 more years to fully realize their policies of change, it takes time!" and when the people stop eating that shit a neocon asshole like W. will swoop in and offer peace and limited government, and then bring war and more bureaucracy once elected. the cycle will continue because people are easy.

Your point is well taken....a cynical position to my optimistic post. But I don't mean that in a derogatory way... I was problably being a bit to "pie in the sky" with my thoughts, but yes many will remain alseep...but if we can wake up a few, that's a few more to help....and in the case of Liberty... MORE IS ALWAYS BETTER !!!!

the conservative movement is finished! People will not wake up to the Federal Reserve, no matter how many layoffs, foreclosures, bank closures etc. Its OVER. WE are inches away from World Government.

Every liberty and constitutional right that is taken, is very difficult if not impossible to get back.

I'm very concerned with how many of our liberties will be taken in the next 4 years and the possibility of them never being returned.

We need you to stay here and stand strong along your brothers in the Constitution. Besides, there's really not anywhere else better to go.

I wish I could be as optimistic as the OP, but I'm not really so sure. It may happen that way, but then again, FDR brought the greatest socialist changes to this country and he's still blindly worshiped as a hero by most.
