View Full Version : Call for Secession

People of the State of (insert state here),

Today we have a Federal government that marches closer and closer to socialism. The incoming socialist majorities in House, Senate, and the Presidency are alarming indeed, and what is even more alarming is our alternative choice for these offices were not much better and also desire to oppress us. It is time to stand up to our Federal government who has stolen the fruits of our labor and used it to fight fruitless foreign wars that have generated disdain and used the fruits of our labor to the benefit of those in the corporate world, while enslaving the poor with so-called "welfare" programs.

It is time for you to stand up to this government who seeks to only use and abuse its people, and what is even more strange is how many fools in this country have up to this point bought every line for the expansion of government power. These erstwhile patriotic, freedom-loving Americans, have fallen victim to a horrendous amount of propaganda fed to them by the government in the form of a public education. A public education was meant to teach our young how to live good, peaceful lives without having to depend on the government, but instead since it is under control of our government it has led to the people being further enslaved to the wills of politicians in DC and bankers on Wall Street and on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.

The Federal government has also established and protected the private banking cartel named the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve is responsible in large part for the great economic downturns since it was established. It has destroyed the value of the dollar to be worth 1/40 of its value upon the establishment of this horrible cartel. Of course, the politicians and bankers would have you believe that is much better to have a monetary system that is based upon the needs of bankers who have bankrupted because otherwise our economy would collapse, and inflation would be out of control, or we could enter a deflationary depression. It is funny how they use inflation as one of their arguments, since back then a $20 gold piece (1 troy ounce) could buy the same exact things as it can today. It is time that the federal government leave the monetary business to who should belong to: the people in the form of a free and open market. All the federal government should do is fix the standard of weights and measures, for that is the only power it has.

It is time we also reclaim our true rights as free men in this country to life, liberty, and property. While the government continues to insist it is our duty to pay their unfair socialist tax which they use for horrendous programs that hurt many million across the globe, they refuse to do their basic duties. The lives of our unborn are threatened for they refuse to protect them, but it is seemingly fine to use the money that would be used on that to kill innocents in foreign countries that could never threaten. The lives of our unborn are for important than any danger posed to us or any other country by the tin can navies of Iran and Syria. If they were a real threat, the navy estimates they can destroy their naval forces in 20 minutes, but we apparently must live in fear of them, it is the government who desires us to live in fear for they can more easily fool you and neglect their responsibility. Our liberty is threatened by this very same thought process. Because we must live in fear of the supposedly evil Islamic boogeyman because the government wants to listen in on our conversations. The government has no right to do that, we have the liberty of privacy, and no threat (no matter how real, or, more appropriately, imagined) gives them the right to do that. Our Supreme Court has also ruled that the government can take away our property through eminent to give to other private interests. It is bad enough when the government takes you home to build another government propaganda center (AKA your local public high school), but this takes the abuse to a whole new level.

In light of this steady train of abuses, which only promises to grow as we enter a deep recession or depression where the government will justify its actions by claiming they are necessary to save the economy when it is the government who has made the mess in the first place, it is time that we break off from this government and break free of this heavy debt burden it has laid upon us against our will. It is better if this state as long as the other states of this region break free and chart a new course where we can once again make America the land of opportunity where the government doesn't interfere in our lives. People from all over America and the globe should come here, and as long as they work hard and play by a few basic rules, they can live long successful lives without oppressive government sponsored theft, or having their liberties stolen from them.

Ron Paul becomes governor of Texas in 2010. We secede and he becomes president. Our low taxes and limited government make us the world's financial and cultural center. Paul appoints Willie Nelson secretary of state and gives him back the title to his ranch. Nelson entertains Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and Kim Jong-il at his ranch and gets them high. They loosen up, order 50 pizzas to the White House as a prank. Then they call Obama laughing and saying "gotcha bitch!" and say everyone's even and we're all cool. World peace is achieved.

It's not that either. It's ordinary people choosing LIBERTY above all else (something that is not possible otherwise) It's not about a "political statement" its about controlling your own property.

I couldn't agree more. I'm just saying how the MSM will portray it. The MSM killed Ron Paul's quest for the Republican nomination, and they'd make short work of any secession attempt under an Obama administration.

Who cares what the MSM does? If you're worried about appearances, you will never accomplish anything genuine or meaningful because the first place the enemies of liberty attack is your reputation.

Your sense of shame is how they control you.

Again, I never said such. In fact, I have no shame today, because I disallowed the media to control me. I feel prouder today knowing that yesterday, I voted for the candidate whom I felt would best-uphold the U.S. Constitution, and in doing so, separated myself from about 99% of Americans.

I'm saying that the power of the MSM is leviathan. That is fact. I could care less about what the MSM thinks of me, but, again, this makes me different from 99% of Americans. That 99% of drivel-fed media-slaves will always be a majority at the polls, unless they take it upon themselves to break the political bonds which connect them with the media and the state.

Look how many Americans got suckered into this genderized, racialized tripe that the media pressed upon the people during election 08. Our "free" press is the greatest enemy to this movement—derelict of its duty to keep tabs on government. Sensationalism—Great for ratings; bad for liberty.

Secession is going on hold for the next four years. And, if the next president is a woman, another 8. They'll kill secession movements with labels of misogeny.

I don't like it, but unless we get our own "liberty news network" or something, we'll never have the excalibur of mind control that is: corporate media.

That may be the thought process of people in certain states. But if Obama makes the wrong moves, and crosses the line into hardcore socialism or taking all your guns away, or something else of that nature, the South wouldn't give a damn if the rest of the world thought they were racist, they already think they are.

Secession is not racist. Secession is the opposite of slavery.

Americans were enslaved by the British yet they gained their independence through secession. Fighting slavery is not racist.

It's time we gain independence.

I wish, but I'd bet 2011, 2012, or 2013 depending on election results and support base for secession. If we can get 500,000 throughout the South, along with enough money to launch a media campaign, secession will happen if election results go awry.

There's no need to succeed. You are Americans. You may not support the president, but you will always have the right to criticize him. There is no need to run off. If you really dislike him, stand up and plan a way to retake presidency from him in four years.

It's not that there's no need, it's that there is no way. Or did you miss the memo Lincoln sent out?

The need is great and if I thought that there was any chance in hell, I'd move my family to whatever state was planning to do it *if* they had their stuff together.

Problems:
1. Military. Your second amendment rights mean a pile of nothing right now. State Militias have been absorbed into the Federal Government. So, what, you're going to pick up the 30-06, Dragunov, or Barret .50 and fight an F-18 squadron? Yeah. This isn't muskets and cannons anymore, folks.

2. Economics. The Federal Government has it's claws so deep in our local economies that it's nigh on impossible to operate without their money which, of course, you don't get if you don't play by the rules.

3. Infrastructure. Tie this in with economics. If you cede, you damn well better have a plan to provide things that people in this day and age won't live without. 911, police, etc... What about local agencies that will be required to oversee trade with the Federalist states. Imports, exports, blah blah.

4. Motivation. I'm motivated, are you? I believe you are. What about the bulk of constituents in your state? It seems to me that it would be harder to convince constituency to cede than to affect change in the established system. Both options at this point seem so terribly remote that I'm very discouraged.

There's more, I'm sure. Thoughts? I'm a pissed off citizen that has been thinking of this very subject for a while now, it just seems impossible and it's certainly discouraging especially when you try to talk to folks in your area about it and are met with the ingrained brainwash.

Thank you, and well they should. I'm not selling my property for pennies on the dollar to move in next to a bunch of anarchists.

That said, I'm neither a looter or a moocher, if I decide to support a cause it won't be merely relocation; it will be activism as well.

The key point here is that it has to be *feasible* and well thought out in order to garner my support. I, also, am certainly not willing to give anyone credit just because they shook Ron Paul's hand or had their picture taken with godzilla so I'm a hard sell.

This is a shameless bump because I want reactions to my initial statements above. That said, however, what is the FSP? I'd be interested in discourse with folks that are rational on the matter but I'd be severely turned off by brainwashed parrots.

97% of the Blacks voted for Obama. Why? Because he is Black. It is all right for the Black community to be racist, but not the White community. America of the founding fathers is over. If the people choose to do so, America should be broken up into smaller nations which represent the several racial groups. Multi-cultural America will self destruct. Whites who want to live in an all White country should be allowed to do so. Blacks who want to live in an all Black country should also be allowed to do so. A nation divided amongst its self can not stand. The South needs to rise again.

This year Larry Kilgore ran against TX Senator Cornyn on a secession platform. He got 250,000 (!!!) votes. Unfortunately, with a state as large as TX, this only netted 15% of the vote. This is Larry Kilgore's website. (http://www.larrykilgore.com/) He's trying a run for governor in 2010.

Other states with legitimate secessionist movements are Vermont, Alaska, Hawaii, and Virginia. Each year pro-secessionist advocates meet at a conference entitled The North American Secessionist Convention. I believe last years meeting was in Chattanooga.

The Democrats are the real racists. What have they done for black folks lately but undermine their families and communities?

Democrats have stolen their self-determination, replaced fathers with welfare, warehoused them in violent, drug-ridden slums, imprisoned them in failing schools, condescended to them with affirmative action, enabled (and many times paid for) the abortions of somewhere near 1 in 3 black children, and jailed thousands and thousands more nonviolent young black men in the racist War on Drugs (and Sick People) than I care to think about.

Talk about voting against your own interests! All of my beautiful black brothers and sisters (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSh6kVT4UL0) should be voting Libertarian Party, is what.

Or, if the GOP were smart, they themselves would chill out on the WoDaSP, and woo the AA and Latino communities home (because evidently, they're more socially conservative (http://edition.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/polls/#CAI01p1) than whitey).

As far as secession goes, I'd just like to split the country in two. Let the socialists have the East were they can live in "fairness" and squalor, and the West can be the home of the free where 'we the people' can prosper without the crushing socialist albatross that are the Democrats' good intentions (http://www.quoteworld.org/quotes/7250).

It's most certainly a pleasure meeting anyone that appreciates FREEDOM OF THOUGHT. May you always find water and shade.

I agree, economic freedom is one of the most critical aspects of our campaign. Nations can be toppled via failed economy and I do believe that is what's happening n the United States of America.

The way I see it, a free mind is the most beneficial weapon we can add to our arsenal and we, certainly, don't contribute to our cause by alienating others with vicious attacks simply on the premise that they 'don't get' our version of what's going on. A 'free' mind will be able to come to sensible conclusions on it's own with the added benefit that it will influence other minds and, hopefully, open them up as well. Most especially if that mind cherishes *and* understands 'Liberty'.
