...now if we could just stop calling America a "democracy" it would be fucking dandy. Oh, and fix that 47th in the world literacy rate..

What the hell is this country thinking? What, because we could have elected a woman or have now elected a black President we're cleansed and in great shape? Fuckin' a....we're getting dumber by the generation...now we're impressed with ourselves we've elected a minority. YEAAAH!!! Good work America...

The media elected him, just as the media elected Mccain to win the Repub nomination.
These elections are a joke, turn off your TV's.

It's historic event, thanks in great part to Operation Iraqi Freedom and economic meltdown that followed.

Neocons have helped bring about a radical change that civil rights movement could not have for many decades to come.

I'm Getting pissed off at people talking about him being black,so the hell what.As long as blacks that voted for him continue voting for other people after him I'll be happy, If not then call them racists and whatever but it's proven blacks vote for Democrats more so than republicans.

America IS a democracy...

Well, sort of....
http://usgovinfo.about.com/library/weekly/aa102200b.htm

The United States is a representative democracy -- under a "republican" form of government as provided for in Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution which states, "The United States shall guarantee to every State in the Union a Republican form of Government..." (This should not be confused with the Republic political party which is merely named after the form of government.)

How pathetic that the only way to atone for our slavery sins (over 100 years ago) is to elect a black president! Have we now proved that we're not racist? Now we're going to have to prove we're not socialist, either!

Fucking wow.

If 92% of whites voted for McCain, blacks would scream racism.
Its so fucking hypocritical. Most of them only voted for Obama because he is a fellow black.

(I am not black or white).

As a Black American, let me say this: anyone who says it's good for our country to have a Black President in the White House is racist, period. A good President is not measured by the color of his skin, but by the principles he stands for. I'm really tired of this race-baiting that has been going on in this Presidential election. Such ignorance from our electorate, and if I may say so, especially from the Black community.

If people voted for McCain just because he is White, we would have never heard the end of it. Yet, we're hearing that if McCain wins, he'll just be another George W. Bush. If Obama wins, oh, that's a historic victory. Historic on what grounds? Because Obama has dark skin. How racist can you get? It really sickens me, and I'm ashamed that after hundreds of years in our relatively young republic, some of our countrymen still have not grown up and looked passed the color of a person's skin by judging the content of his heart. What a shame.

Sadly, Obama will be such a fuckup that it'll be many years before we'll have another black president.

On the racism issue - I would have voted for Colin Powell if he were running, but NOT OhBombUs or Candi Lice - it's not the the skin color - it's the positions.

Still, I'm wondering how long before someone assassinates him. Betting pool anyone?

he won the nomination because he is black, but he won the election in spite of being black.

he is a nice young guy running against an old man, in the perfect Democratic year. and he almost blew it. In the end the margin was big but had the Republican nominee been decent Obama would have lost.

Before everyone condemns Black people as racists for voting 90% Obama you should look up the percentage that voted for Bill Clinton. I don't think you'll see a lot of difference.

Darned I'm tired of them saying over and over again how a black man won the election.

It should not be about what color he is but what he can achieve and who he is.

When people finally stop talking about race, then there will be no racism. As long as people keep bringing it up, it will always be an issue.

The CIA only assassinates people who aren't good little puppets. Obama should be just fine.

I still don't understand the logic behind voting for someone because of the color of the persons skin?!
I hope the Republicrats aren't upset when we decide to secede and form our own nation, consequently allowing others to see that LIBERTY WORKS.
WAKE UP AMERICA

EDIT- I didn't read past the first page before I posted, So I would like to add one more thing. Theocrat, thank you. Keep spreading the message. We must fight for freedom for all, and not division by few. If the elite continue to lead us down this path we are headed down, we're in for some very difficult times, but if we stand and fight, we will win. Liberty will prevail.
