The Cato Institute had a shindig this evening, talking about the election and whatnot. Gene Healy, author of "The Cult Of The Presidency" spoke, and he said something that should make us very hopeful.

To paraphrase: At least with Obama, socialism will be getting the credit for the problems it causes. The next 4 years could be a return to limited government values in popular opinion.

I am not optimistic. My faith in the American electorate is non-existent.

I applaud your optimism, Yongrel, I truly do. I wish I could share in it. But, personally, I'll believe it when I see it.:(

At least with Obama they will see the Socialism isn't so different from that Conservative and a third party candidate might really have a shot next time. Let's pray to a golden bull and make this happen!!!
