We need people running for house seats in all 435 districts. By doing so, we may be able to get a few people into congress. Only having a few candidates running is not enough. I am thinking about running in NJ in 2 years, but we need more people doing it.

We will not achieve freedom through politics, especially by focusing on the federal government. We must realize this and stop wasting our time and money and change our tactics.

Let's focus only on states that are RP friendly, as well as network with guys like Kucinich who could engineer some progressive sympathies to vote with us. That way we won't be wasting so much on donations and could perhaps build a mini-utopia for ron paul supporters.

And furthermore, let's turn a blind eye to RP's endorsement of congressmen who support the war effort.

I'm thinking of running when I get old enough. Now I'm motivated after this election

for 2010....

others have mentioned we need to ditch the republican party. i might agree, but consider that even the ron paul candidates who weren't republican don't look like they'll win.

americans seem to have a distaste for liberty.

part of me feels the same way. it's possible that it might be IMPOSSIBLE to ever take back our country with freedom minded candidates, through politics, so far after it's already been lost.

but what are we to do?

Well you could have taken it back one step at a time by slowly taking over the GOP but the majority here wanted instant gratification. By voting for anyone other than McCain you made very sure that the GOP will not be going conservative anytime soon. The GOP is already publicly stating that it will be moving in a leftward direction in the future. They feel that they were too conservative for today's voters. So very sad.

I used to be a die hard Dem and voted for GORE in college, even though my precinct is very GOP heavy.

I say we need to stay in the GOP and focus on not converting GOP members, but converting DNC voters.

DNC voters care about people and the poor. We all here care about that too. We need to run for office as compassionate GOP members. We need to be fired up about bringing jobs to our district and raising the purchasing power of dollar and stuff the district can relate to. Liberty is too abstract for voters. Jobs and tax cuts is what we should focus on. Make it clear as you run for office that your just as compassionate as the DNC guy but educate people about the failures of government and socialism.

My pitch would be "Invest our money in our district, not the government, bridges to no where, and needless wars"
