I went into the voting booth and there was a write-in option for the presidency. I hit it and the machine opened up a spot where a piece of paper was available to write-in. I leaned out of the booth and asked the assistant for a pen or pencil.
"What for?" he responded impatiently.
"Write-in", I replied.
"No, you need a stamp for those", was his answer.
A stamp? I've never heard of this. Why on earth would I need a stamp for a write-in. Anyway, there seemed to be no way around it so my presidential vote was a blank write-in :(. Where do I get these alleged stamps in the future?
