View Full Version : Are write-in *ballots* not counted, or just votes?

So I'm writing in Ron Paul. I was too young in the primary to vote (otherwise would've gone Ron then and Chuck now), and want to cast my first vote for someone I really believe in; so don't bother trying to talk me out of it. :)

But: I heard someone say once on here that if you write someone in, they don't count your ballot at all. Is that true? I don't really want to sacrifice my congressional vote for Ron, so I'd like to know.

they should count the rest of your ballot, just not your vote for presidential slates.

Okay, good.

Just voted for the first time! Ron Paul/Dennis Kucinich for President and VP, Kevin Barrett for Congress, and the Republican incumbents for state Senate and Assembly. :)
