I recently moved to Washington and I'm still registered in Alaska.

Shouldn't I still be able to vote for President somehow, even if I can't vote for local candidates? Isn't that a constitutional right?

Voting is a right. Voting unregistered is not.

Can you afford a plane ticket?

Knowing you were going to move, you should have requested an absentee ballot or re-registered in your new place.

We had this problem in the primaries. I was getting calls from people saying they forgot to register or re-register Republican but still wanted to vote for Ron Paul. You have to think ahead. You can't procrastinate on stuff like this. A large percentage of my meetup group ended up not being able to vote.

I had other reasons for not registering here. Just checking.

the issue is how to prevent massive voter fraud while still allowing free and fair elections.

Some people will get screwed, but unless we are willing to have some sort of national id, I see no way to not infringe on your right to vote......sorry.
