Mentioned in the second paragraph.

Democrat Obama defeated Republican John McCain by a count of 15 to 6 in Dixville Notch, where a loud whoop accompanied the announcement in Tuesday's first minutes. The town of Hart's Location reported 17 votes for Obama, 10 for McCain and two for write-in Ron Paul. Independent Ralph Nader was on both towns' ballots but got no votes.

Hopefully we get to hear Ron's totals tonight too. I've been afraid he'd get the silent treatment as usual.

You know what's great about this story? Ron Paul got 2 votes, McCain got 6 votes. Paul got about 33 percent of McCain's total.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think that's funny as hell, because McCain the "maverick" couldn't do better against a write-in candidate.

Granted it's a total of 23 votes, but still that's 25% of the Republican vote, and 8.7% of the total. :D

Imagine for a second that this is how the whole country will vote.

RP is statistically significant, but not enough to take the blame for McCain's crushing defeat.
McCain is such a poor candidate that the "lesser of two evils" argument does not make any sense whatsoever.

A vote for Obama is a vote for Obama. Everyone should know by now that Obama will beat McCain much like Reagan beat Mondale. A bandwagon vote for Obama is not a lesser of two evils vote, it is rubber stamping his crap ideas--or lack thereof.

McCain will lose so terribly that there is no way that your paltry little vote can turn the tide. A vote for McCain is totally wasted because you already know the outcome and you will have wasted your opportunity to say something with your ballot.

Hopefully we get to hear Ron's totals tonight too.

You'll be able to see Ron's totals in MT and LA (online at least) where he is actually on the ballot.

Elsewhere, write-ins won't even be tallied until weeks (sometimes months) after the election, and even then the counting/reporting of write-ins is notoriously uneven. If Ron is not registered as a write-in in your state, it probably won't ever be counted or reported.

Informative article:

The Hazards of Getting a Write-in Vote for President Counted (http://www.ballot-access.org/2008/10/31/the-hazards-of-getting-a-write-in-vote-for-president-counted/)

Go ahead and write in Ron Paul if it makes you happy, but don't expect to find out how many write-in votes he got in your state for at least another month, if ever.
