Most of todays threads would be off-topic for GC, and as said, the election will be discussed for some time so it's a good move.

I'll be hanging out here:

all day watching the county go down in flames. :(

I'm voting within the hour. I'm voting straight Republican, maybe one democrat. But for President I'm still not decided between not voting, writing in Ron Paul or yielding for all the appeals to vote for Baldwin.

We'll see...

Of course, for sheriff I'm voting for a guy, Jesse Hill, alter ego of Robert 'the Traveler' Hill. He has sold 3 gold coins to raise $28,000 in campaign funds. With that money he bailed some friends out of jail, rented two offices and threw a big kegger for his volunteers.

He's running on a platform of making police badges easier to read, changing some rules of how they can treat the public, and changing the rules regarding the experience of being sent to jail.

The other guy is much more boring.

Not voting. Didn't bother to register after Ron decided not to run third party.

What about your other candidates for state and local?

I voted for Baldwin for pres, against Tom Harkin (long time incumbant who loves big goverment and ethonol subsidies), and voted largely against the incumbants. Also voted in a local election here for auditor: Third party canidate Mike Elliot, who runs the Ron Paul meetup, and has a great chance of winning.
