Stage 2 officially ended after Ron Paul won the debate on Wednesday. Rudy and Romni tried to laugh it up in the middle of the debate and got crushed in the text poll. The Neocons have officially entered attack mode.

Agreed. We are at stage 3!

Stage 4 will be easier, I predict, than anyone thought possible. Not to make anyone complacent, but like many here I've been following the blogs over the summer as they look for things to attack Ron on, and I haven't seen any arguments that stick.

Besides, people hear "Constitution" and it tugs at some pretty strong strings. He staked his rightful claim to that document's mantle against Huckabee the other night.

I'm not sure we're all the way to stage three yet, but I'd agree we're deep into stage two and starting to move toward three.

Obviously stage one has been over for a while now. :)

Keep in mind that the first three stages don't have a specific beginning and end - they'll blend and separate and then merge again before splitting again...

Examples...

Some polls will STILL ignore RP by leaving him off completely - that's a stage 1 move.

Some are STILL going to laugh at him - stage 2 move.

But yes, we've moved into stage 3.
