Huckabee can wait his turn.

It would be better to debate someone who has money but
cosmetic support than someone who has support without money.

As SunTzu (http://www.chinapage.com/sunzi-e.html) advises:
(yes, you may re-interpret this any way you wish, it won't hurt my feelings a bit)

Don't rush in to assail Huckabee while he is on a roll

in war the victorious strategist
only seeks battle after the victory has been won,

Find a debate opponent who cannot win and cannot negotiate a way out

that general is skillful in attack whose
opponent does not know what to defend; and he is skillful
in defense whose opponent does not know what to attack.

Strength:
Huckabee was the emotional (not rational) winner and
McCain has won some brief amount of sympathy
Weakness:
Bait Giuliani, Thompson and Romney - they cannot back down without losing face.

So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong
and to strike at what is weak.

Without actually challenging them!

When he keeps aloof and tries to provoke a battle,
he is anxious for the other side to advance.

By making them fools for all they do,
repeating over and over again every single thing that drives them Nuts!

By persistently hanging on the enemy's flank, we shall
succeed in the long run

Aim and fire (without names) directly at Rudy, Fred and Mitt's weak points

If the enemy is taking his ease, he can harass him;

And always show up 3 hours before they do - be on site before they arrive
and stir public opinion by being the spoiling foil to their streamlined plans.

if quietly encamped, he can force him to move.

And make a few unannounced appearances at key gatherings
where they are strung out elsewhere with no ability to respond.

Of course, Ron Paul is already following exactly this sort of strategy.
As I punched submit (the first time)
the next news item came up and lo and behold:
(from Rudy and Ron in Tampa (http://www.charlotteconservative.com/index.php/2007/09/rudy-and-ron-in-tampa/))

Republican Presidential Candidate Rudy Giuliani will make multiple stops in Florida today.

He’ll deliver remarks at a 9/11 Remember Our Fallen Heroes luncheon in Orlando. He’ll then make a stop in Largo to check out the emergency response technology at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office before speaking at the Pinellas County Reagan Day Dinner tonight around 7:30 pm at The Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club at 501 5th Avenue in St. Petersburg.

Texas Congressman Ron Paul and supporters will gather outside the Vinoy at 6 pm to convince Republican voters he’s the one to support.

Representative Paul did a similar measure in Orlando when candidate Mitt Romney was stumping for votes.

I don't actually completely subscribe to everything Sun Tzu said,
but most of it makes perfect sense in a campaign setting.

Cheers,
Ron Paul rEVOLution

note to my dictionary: I refuse to add Huckabee, after all, it's only a temporary usage.

It's funny that you referenced Sun Tzu because I was thinking of a passage from Art of War when I saw how they laughed at and cut off and ignored Dr. Paul at the NH debate.

I don't have it in front of me so I can't quote it but it sites how a spy went to the opposing general and convinced him that if he dug up the enemies graves and defiled thier ancestors they would lose the will to fight, so he did.

However, the exact opposite happened. The enemy seeing how the graves of thier ancestors were defiled became motivated to destroy the opposing general.

When they so utterly disrespected someone I have grown to respect and admire I felt very angry. It made me want to redouble my efforts to see him elected.

As far as Huckabee, If Ron Paul can use this bit of press to get a longer form debate it is good regardless of what roll you think Huckabee is on. The truth will out. Once Huckabee is done shaking his pompoms he will have to say something that makes sense. Him winning a debate about foriegn policy against Ron Paul is like boxing with God, Huckabee's arms are too short.

I also don't think we should debate Huckabee. That would give him validation. He's a nothing and we should treat him as such. Focus on the big guys. They have holes all over them.
