Just posted this elsewhere. Adapt it if you like it:

I'm not saying Obama's a pure socialist. I'm not saying McCain isn't a socialist, because his voting record indicates he has more than a little of it.

But I'll tell you this: These people have their own motivations, and they aren't necessarily our motivations. Obama wants his privacy, but I doubt he'll want you to have your privacy any more than Dubya does. Could be wrong. But even if his motives are pure (which I see no signs of) there will be another president coming after him.

America has some core beliefs and values. America has a Constitution designed primarily to protect us from the powers that be by limiting their roles in our lives. Federal taxation, a private cartel printing our money, and eroding states' rights are all contrary to the Constitution and are all threatening our liberty and security. Every time we disregard a Constitutional tenent, some unscrupulous powermonger shows us why the provision was there in very short order. Why was the bailout unconstitutional? Perhaps to protect us from having our tax money used to fund takeovers which eliminate jobs and competition; perhaps to ensure no one can use our tax money for private sector incompetents' bonuses...

When we turn our backs on the Founding Fathers, we are like teenagers telling our parents off. Sooner or later we're going to figure out that they loved us and wanted what was best for us...

Republicans tend to be more interested in winning. The mindset is they prevented more evil than they caused by electing Dubya, and as we've seen around the forum of late, more than a few of them feel the same way about McCain. This in spite of tons of evidence to the contrary. Democrats, on the other hand, are far more liable to understand during an Obama presidency what a terrible mistake they have made. And we need to start telling them all the ins and outs of their mistake now, while they're still making it. We've been at this a while. Keep it up.

On this weekend before election day, while the Kool Aid is flowing like water, it will be easy to lose heart. Don't. We've planted a very viable seed in the minds of the American people. Now is not, in my opinion, the time to give up and stop watering and fertilizing that seed! Especially since the NWO jackass most likely to win will so thoroughly illustrate our points.

Thank you, ma'am. Having seen some of your good work, I have faith that you'll make excellent use of it.
