Today Im reading a newsletter I got in the mail from http://www.petitionproject.org - a website dedicated to showing the "real" consensus on "climate change", with real engineers and scientists. Anyway, Im reading along (excerpt below) and about halfway into it I say "this guy must like RP" and as you will find out, yes he does.

Good read.

copyright 2008 Access to Energy, June 2008 newsletter excerpt below

Men must be free to apply their natural talents to the physical worlds. Tyranny restricts human freedom. Therefore, those who live under tyranny gradually lost their resources and prosperity.

Americans are now witnessing an example of this phenomenon. Federal and state government sponsored taxation; regulation and litigation of energy production industries during the past 35 years in the United States have so diminished the freedom of American engineering’s and scientists that the US is no longer able to produce sufficient energy to power its technology

Moreover these same policies have diminished American industrial productivity so much that Americans no longer produce sufficient goods and services for export to allow them to buy energy abroad at reasonable prices.

There is no solely technological remedy for this. Either American freedom to produce will be increased by the withdrawal of government barriers or American prosperity will decrease

Yet, most US politicians especially those on the political left in the Democrat party advocate further restrictions of freedom

The “Ron Paul” sign sprouting up in the American landscape, like the “John Galt” signs in Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, Random House 1957, indicate that an increased number of Americans understand this problem. Moreover, few people really know about Ron Paul, so the population of those who desire a return of American freedom is far larger than the number of these signs indicate.

enjoy and if you have an interest visit the link above. Support someone who I think supports RP and the future of the country from a technological standpoint

Sweet.

The problem with socialism is that no bureaucrat knows how you can best contribute to the greater functioning of the community or nation and no bureaucrat may be focused enough to care. They don't have ambition for you.

In this case, would bureaucrat be equated with the " political class " I have seen Ron Paul mention in his book ? Makes sense. So many that have been elected have forgotten who put them their and why.
