Beyond the Klan's endorsement, Paul must have admired McClintock's one-man foiling of a Chinese plot to steal oil off the coast of Florida -- a region that is roughly the same distance from McClintock's home as the district he's running in.

With a resume like McClintock's, you have to wonder how Paul picked him over equally reasonable, moral candidates like, say, Ted Stevens.

Sounds like a 'Top of the Ticket' article. Especially with that last line about the comments section:

(By the way, just to give Ron Paul supporters a head start on the comments section, let me just point out that I am a pathetic, ignorant scum of the earth who deserves nothing short of deportation and a slow, painful death.)

I'll give him props for telling the truth in the last sentence. ;)

You know, almost every conservative in the State of California likes McClintock. He was the face of the anti-RINOs in the state, at least when I lived there.

He is one of three Republicans I remember from California. Arnold and the 2002 nominee for Governor Bill Simon are the others. I remember McClintock's campaign for State Treasurer in 2002 where a a fictional Scotsmen endorses him for being cheap.

I freaking hate the small-minded, xenophobic losers in the klan. They have done more damage to liberty than any big government statist ever has.

McClintock is a true conservative. You know the man is doing something right when the leftists start using smear-by-association tactics. If he had become the governor instead of Arnold California would not be in the shape it's in. I'm really hoping he wins.

Hmm -
Ya know, this is a comedy show's blog.... right?
Sometimes they're going to pick on people we like, that's the nature of it.
Unfortunately, the people we like are generally not popular enough to be picked on as much as the crappy mainstream candidates.
And yes, it's probably not funny when they pick on people you like. But it's probably not funny to a diehard-McCain supporter when they make fun of his flabby jaw skin.
Eh, I'm bored.

Well, The Onion is a comedy blog, too. Their stuff isn't offensive. They go for satire, which is supposedly what the Daily Show and Colbert Report are.
