Maybe 8-8:30 for 8 years...Obama has a super high opinion of Obama. Eight years, unless he persuades us with his fancy pants oration to repeal term limits. Think how FOCUSED we could be if we didn't have to worry about a new president for another 30 or 40 years. Think how much campaign dough everyone would save.

All Obama All The Time!

I was thinking that today. Best way to keep the sheep brainwashed. Next an un-exitable pop up on all computers at the same time as the chat...

Before I used to kind of hope for an Obama win, now I just think this guy is a total shitbag and don't understand why anyone outside the Democratic or Socialist parties is voting for him. I used to think "What's the worst he can do?" now I'm thinking "OMG, what the f is gonna happen to us if Obama wins?" I'd never vote for McCain, but my God, I am gonna hope he beats Obama on election night (and I like rooting for underdogs, it's a lot more fun than the for sure winner).

Ron Paul or John McCain can do it too if they have the money to buy the time.

yeah, I swore a long time ago I would never vote for McCain or Obama, but man, that Barack fella is starting to scare the sh*t outta me. I'm getting really really tempted to vote for McCain, the lesser of two evils, even though I swore I never would, because I'm starting to think Obama will absolutely devastate this country beyond our wildest imaginations.

My sentiments have followed the same course.

I'd never vote for McCain, but my God, I am gonna hope he beats Obama on election night (and I like rooting for underdogs, it's a lot more fun than the for sure winner).

I will mention the obvious that McCain has a better chance of beating the Ubiquitous Obama if you vote for him rather than root for him.

I am waiting for his likeness...gazing pensively toward our collectivist future...to grace buildings and town halls and freeway overhead ramps and post offices and daycare centers, where little children will sing devotional songs heralding the amazingness of our Dear Leader.

Hitler also had a lot of sheep supporting him.

Yep. Big, frenzied crowds...like the one that just gathered in Syria to chant Death to me and my country.

Now wrap your mind around the Chicago Machine in Washington.

Change is a highly interpretive concept.

It will be good for them to see that Young 'Uns don't just decide to pipe up on politics...bringing scant life experience to the table...and then, as per usual, just get their way.

I couldn't agree more.

I'm getting really really tempted to vote for McCain, the lesser of two evils, even though I swore I never would, because...

...he is an inferior human, I know. I said the same, which reminds me never to say never.

I'm starting to think Obama will absolutely devastate this country beyond our wildest imaginations.

I, as well...although I am as leery of 'absolutely' as I am of 'never.'

For starters, John McCain will be met with oppositional majorities in both Houses PLUS public antagonism. Barack Obama will be met with sympathetic majorities in both Houses PLUS a lotta lotta lotta people lined up for benefits. I apprehend a Funding Festival without rival.

The Market prefers a White House and a Congress that are at odds. Why? Gridlock. Markets loathe uncertainty. When people don't know what they're doing...and a Middle Schooler just learning America Civics can see that those of "our" people in Washington who are not corrupt are incompetent...it is better that they do as little as possible.

For seconds, John McCain will not have a chance in hell of re-election. Not so, O...ponder the additional millions upon millions upon millions who will enter the Federal Workforce under Obama. They will be inclined to re-elect the hand-out that feeds them.

Congratulations, cheapseats. You own this page of this thread. Keep on spammin'.

I don't know why Obama has everyone so convinced that he'll prove all powerful. Are you drinking the same Kool Aid as his followers? The economy is in the tank. The odds of whomever is elected getting reelected are around one half of one percent (barring election fraud).

[QUOTE]Congratulations, cheapseats. You own this page of this thread. Keep on spammin'.

I have not quite 800 posts in 2 months, whereas you have over 8,200 posts in 10 months, and I'm spamming?

If that's the only leg you have to stand on, you must be exceedingly glad of a second one.

I don't know why Obama has everyone so convinced that he'll prove all powerful.

For a clue, look to the hysterical throngs that gather to chant his infallibility.

Are you drinking the same Kool Aid as his followers?

Not hardly. I would mention, however, that there are a few Libertarians who have drunk Ron Paul Kool-Aid. Answer me this, how absurd is it to vote for someone because someone else told you to?

You may answer that I am telling people to vote for McCain, but you would be wrong. I am telling people that they better think through the fantasy that voting for a certain loser sends any message other than failure.

The economy is in the tank.

Gonna get worse, too. And an economy cannot be taxed into prosperity. It can't.

The odds of whomever is elected getting reelected are around one half of one percent (barring election fraud).

Said the same thing myself for months and months...that, whoever won, the fallout of the Bush Administration would land on the next buck-stops-here desk and produce a hapless, one-term presidency.

The wrinkle is the sheer number of millions of people that Obama proposes, with an oh-so-sympathetic Congress, to add to the Federal Workforce.
