Arlen Specter has too much time on his hands. He must, else he would not be leading yet another football-related Senate task force. Today, 13 Senators signed a letter asking the NFL commissioner to make more games free to local and regional fans. Yes, your elected representatives, the men responsible for the governing of this nation, are devoting their days to getting their constituents more football games on TV. Seriously.

Don't worry, they know the more people are keeping their eye on sports, the less they have to worry about the people watching what they are doing. To them, sports are a great way to keep the people from paying attention to what is really important. They won't ruin any of the sports, they just want to make sure more people can watch sports rather than Capitol Hill.
