Michael Savage Endorses John McCain
Tuesday, October 28, 2008 2:36 PM

By: Jim Meyers

Conservative talk show host Michael Savage has broken a vow not to back either candidate in the presidential race and says he is endorsing John McCain over his “Marxist revolutionary” rival Barack Obama.

Savage told listeners of his nationally syndicated radio show on Tuesday: “I intended not to endorse anyone for this election prior to this week. But the more I have learned about Obama, the more I realized I cannot sit on the sideline.

“So I have to officially say, and sadly so, that I am going to endorse John McCain, for whatever it’s worth.

“You may say, oh, who listens to that guy Savage? What does an endorsement from him mean?

“It means more than you may imagine. It means much more than you may imagine.”

Savage said his endorsement means more than the backing of a dozen newspapers he mentioned, including the Los Angeles Times, Newsday, Chicago Tribune and New York Post, because his “daily circulation is larger than any one of these newspapers.

“I have millions of listeners,” he continued, “most of whom, by the way, are independents. In case you don’t know it, they’re not all conservatives. Most of my audience are independents and they have been waiting for some kind of a signal…

“They despise what Bush has done to this country as much as you do. They despise what Bush has done to this country as much as I do…

“And I understand that John McCain is not really that much different in so many ways, that it’s hard to endorse him.
“I have put my own ego aside and I have to say what’s best for America.

“I’ll take my chances with the old war horse and even with Sarah Palin, who I’m not really a big fan of, by the way, over this naked Marxist revolutionary, because I don’t want to see what the next Pol Pot’s liable to do to the world.”

Pol Pot was the communist leader of Cambodia during the 1970s, and along with his Khmer Rouge followers was responsible by some estimates for 1.7 million deaths in the Southeast Asian nation.

Please note folks: My motive in posting this news was informational only. I don't purport to endorse, or agree with Michael Savage's politics, nor do I ensenuate that he is a Ron Paul supporter. I'm not a McCain supporter, I'm not an Obama supporter, I'm just an average, everyday RPF user who likes to put information out that I find interesting, funny, or imformative.

I dunno if I'm gonna vote for McCain just because of Michael Savage, but his endorsement is quite suprising considering his politics.

No surprise at all. He might have prefered Tom Tancredo, but that didn't happen. McCain is a no brainer, even though he doesn't agree with him on border issues.

He also wanted Hillary to be the Democrat, and he despises Obama. If it were Hillary on the Dem side, he would have stayed "neutral".

Ask anyone between the ages 18-30, and chances are they would have no idea who Pol Pot was, and what he did in Cambodia (while the U.S. sat by and did nothing).

I tend to agree with much of what he says. At least he and others like Rusty Humphries, and Glenn Beck, have had the gonads to report on Obama's questionable citizenship.

Liberty or Justice, guess there's not that much difference from his point of view.

Guess this whole date-rape election process is suppos'd to qualify as "buyin' her dinner first..." No wonder that Justice Lady always wears a blindfold, she knows what's comin'.

Disgusting.

Wonder if he also realizes that blind-folded Justice Lady is also sportin' a long sharp dagger that she can use to neuter or drastically reduce this bodily threat?

Barack Obama Graciously Spared from Nudey Painting of Britney Spears (http://dailycontempt.com/1023/barack-obama-graciously-spared-from-nudey-painting-of-brittney-spears/)

http://dailycontempt.com/wp-content/uploads/barack-obama-art.jpg

The junior senator from Illinois, fresh off a runaway tour of fund-raising, hand-shaking, baby-kissing, book promotion and everything but actually legislating for the people of his state, has recently paid a visit to an art gallery, where he got far less than even the unpaid visitor bargained for. Barack Obama, who has never seen the inside of Hadrass, let alone his own office, has graciously been spared from that which everyone with an internet connection can freely enjoy; a naked painting of the shudder-inspiring Britney Spears.

The painting only suggests at a flash of the baby’s one more time privates, but his aides feared he might be offended (or maybe it’s more the fear of his constituents) by the up-and-coming-all-over white house candidate. He’s already admitted to loving sports, beer and women, but a background shot of what may be construed to be the former mousketeer’s vagi-hoo-hoo might be more than a front page, lead photo, can honest and earnestly handle.

The Boling painting, titled “Snake Charmer”, was covered by a white sheet. His campaign team also removed a second painting, called Honest Abe by the same artist. It shows a woman in a bright red shirt emblazoned with the slogan “Kill Lincoln”. Not exactly pandering to a patriotic base, but that’s what you have to do.

Last year Britney shined off her polished beaver to paparazzi in a now-ubiquitous paparazzi photo, snapped while getting out of Paris Hilton’s car sans panties. The too-hot-for-news-radio painting is a reproduction of that photograph, and I have to say the impressionistic paint daubs do more justice to her nethers than my own flawless, if not photographic, pornographic memory

Nope. I enjoy catching both of them when I can. The local station that carries Savage has started carrying the Lou Dobbs radio show. It gives much more time for Lou to give his personal opinions. If you can get past the presentation and personality differences between the two, they essentially have the same positions on almost all issues.

I had absolutely zero faith in that guy...five days ago, I wrote:

I don't trust him, though...he was railing about how liberal "Juan McCain" was back during the debates, whining about how there are never any REAL conservatives, but I never heard him say a word about Ron Paul. I did not hear a single word about Ron Paul, when Savage was specifically commenting on a debate Ron Paul was involved in (the one in the Reagan Library where Savage was so outraged the candidates were being sat down like "naughty schoolboys"). Granted, I didn't listen to his whole program, but...I feel that he's another one of those Lou Dobbs characters who will bitch and moan about some problems we have but ignore the "elephant in the room" solution to them.

Savage saw the light...why haven't YOU? tones

Tones, Obama will win this election and trash the country...which is kind of unfortunate, because all we'll hear from you for the next four years is how you "told us so." I kind of wish McCain would win, just so that we could be the ones telling you, "We told you so," after he trashed the country.

News flash: The candidates for both parties are only going to get much worse from here, every single election. Obama is just the beginning. If we do not start showing our outrage now with protest votes and we keep feeding the system by giving our approval to one of the lesser of two evils, it may become too late to change the tide (it might already be).

I think there are real john mccain supporters on this board. It amazes me after the last 8 years that anyone can think obama would do worse. Maybe all you mccain supporters in ron paul fan clothing should see what has become of this country in the last 8 years. Double the debt, destroyed liberties, maybe everyone should remember what happened in the primaries?
I hope you mccain supporters get off this board and understand that ron paul supporters are not going to support mccain., if anything rp supporters are going to change the party from the bottom up after they get destroyed in the election. That is what we should want, the republican party needs to purge the neo con elements but this can only happen with a huge shakeup of the party.
If Mccain wins, it will not happen, ever.

Good post. I personally think I fear an Obama Presidency in and of itself slightly more than a McCain Presidency (because McCain is basically Bush mixed with a bit of Hillary Clinton, so he's the devil I know  ), but if McCain wins, we can kiss any chance of remodeling the GOP goodbye forever.
