I cannot believe anyone is commenting on this.
The official federal debt ceiling limit is $8.6 trillion.
As you can see from the link, the US national debt level exceeded $9 trillion for the first time ever on September 5. Seeing this coming, Henry Paulson has been pushing for an increase to the debt limit for obvious reasons, but it has yet to be granted by Congress.

Ron Paul should jump all over this, and insist that the government shut down as it should when it exceeds its debt limit.
Is it possible for this administration and our entire system of government to be more corrupt? We are witnessing the last days of the American Republic.
