View Full Version : David Price sent out a letter - now calling RP and BJ dangerous Bush followers

…Proclaiming to be the protégé of failed Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, Dr. Lawson has a laissez faire, libertarian approach to government and the economy that I believe is fundamentally wrong. Our current financial crisis clearly demonstrates that the hands-off, anything-goes mentality on regulation employed by the Bush Administration and supported by Dr. Lawson simply does not work and is, very frankly, dangerous to our economy and way of life.

You can see David Price's letter here - http://blog.lawsonforcongress.com/2008/10/24/david-price-calls-ron-paul-bj-lawson-dangerous/

David Price has been playing politics here in the 4th district for the last month - constantly trying to tie Dr. Lawson to the Bush Administration in any way that he can. All of this started happening when we launched our TV and Radio Ads thanks to your support.

But this time he has gone too far.

To attack our political philosophy like this, and constantly show a clear disregard of limited government principles that our nation was founded upon says something to me. It should say something to you too.

We need to get this man out of our government.

David Price is stepping up his campaign in a big way, and we need your help to continue the fight.

Please make a donation today to support our efforts (http://www.lawsonforcongress.com/donate) - we have 2 new TV ads and a massive mailer ready to go with your help.

Mr. Price, you just called out the Revolution.

Damn you, David Price... Stop bankrupting me by forcing me to donate more to Lawson! ;)

My only hope is that the good citizens of NC-04 can see past Price's desperate and pathetic political maneuvers.

I thought this whole strategy of blaming laissez-faire for the current economic mess was hilarious the first time I heard it, thinking maybe it was a joke. The more it gets legs with the media and public, the less funny I find it.

That Price guy just forced me to... send another contribution. Give 'em hell, BJ.

Yeah because clearly the problem with the markets is that Congress has been letting Ron Paul run the show for too long. They need to stand up to the guy instead of doing everything he says. The poor neocon majorities are helpless to stop his insane policies from becoming reality.

AMEN!

Almost every single analyst I hear on the radio these days says the same thing. Commentary really beefed up and grew legs after Greenspan's horrible HORRIBLE proclamation of "SHOCK". Can we add Greenspan to the FU list?

Lol--brilliant. I'm enjoying using his 1999 quote I found on here earlier this week explaining his vote against Dubya's alleged deregulation in the form of S500, iirc.

Paul should call for one last money bomb for 2008...for Lawson.

Price is obviously feeling the heat. "Safe" incumbents never attack their opponents.

If Price wasn't worried about losing to Lawson, then he wouldn't be sending out attacks on Lawson. Price must realize he is doing bad in the polls.

If a official money bomb is called I will answer to the fullest extent of the government mandated limit I can. I understand I can do so now and many of you will try and tell me why but I need to know from the good old doctor that we are close enough in the polls to spend the money there. I want to see polling data more recent than is currently provided there. Otherwise I will spend the money (I got 1,900 left between me and my wife) on a local level to push the liberty message. I dont think I am alone in my thinking....

Ron Paul did call for a moneybomb:

Dear Friend,

A lot of folks have begun calling B.J. Lawson the next Ron Paul. The comparison is very flattering. . . for me.

For those who are not yet familiar, B.J. Lawson is a wonderful young candidate running for Congress in North Carolina's Fourth Congressional District. B.J. is a medical doctor, family man, Constitutionalist and a fierce defender of individual freedom. We need B.J. Lawson in Congress to stand beside me in the fight for liberty, and against the corporate socialism that has overtaken our economy!

B.J. is running against an entrenched big government liberal who voted for the $700 billion taxpayer bailout of Wall Street and has a long history of voting for huge spending, raiding your social security trust fund for pet projects, and even voted for the Patriot Act.

A recent poll shows B.J. Lawson within striking distance in this election, but he needs your help!

B.J. needs $250,000, right away, to run the campaign he needs to take this race right down the the wire. I know that if we band together, we can help him get the money he needs.

I am asking you, as a fellow Defender of Liberty, to mark the four week countdown to this November's election and join with me and donate to B.J. Lawson's campaign. I know times are tough, but that is all the more reason why we need to send a message and help B.J. Lawson.

Contributions can be made at http://www.lawsonforcongress.com

This one-day "Money Bomb" could be what it takes to propel the next Ron Paul into Congress. I hope you will join me to support B.J. Lawson with your on-line contribution.

Sincerely,

I wonder why the NC Republicans who voted against the bailout (Elizabeth Dole and Robin Hayes come to mind) don't stand up for their fellow Republican candidate and help the Republican party GAIN a seat.. ? heh.

Instead they're going to sit silently and watch Price spout this crap.. and they just might not be getting re-elected.

Wrong, he knows he's doing bad at the early voting places. At one point, members of the local democratic party working at the polls actually tried to remove our guys from the polls permanently. One of their members drove in (presumably after being called to do so) and told our poll workers that they were being relieved, and took our campaign stuff. BJ and his staff were on top of things though, and I have heard that when they confronted the people responsible, the looks on their faces were priceless.

Actually the slim jims we are using at the polls (placed into pocket constitutions, truly the key to breaking through ideological barriers) are absolutely superb, and I know for a fact that at least one self-identified socialist decided for vote for Lawson due to the points on the liberty packs (the bailout and NBAF were of utmost importance here).
