Is it me or did Chuck just bomb on the healthcare issue? Contradicting himself by saying less government but more regulations?

And at the same time Nader proposing gov't in healthcare but demonizes gov't subsidising it?

Those responses seemed like a total clusterf**k of contradiction.

Yeah, Baldwin kinda bombed the healthcare question I think.

nader actually nailed the abortion question. i've never heard it explained in such a way... i'm not sure i can fully explain it, though i do understand what he said. it made sense.

that was the best debate i've seen all year.
not once did my blood pressure go sky high, it was respectful and informative.
These guys should be the front runners.

I agree, he should've said how HMO's are created by governments through employer health insurance mandates. If we got rid of insurance for regular doctor's visits, the health care costs would go down.

ya it was awesome i cant believe barr douched.

yah they kinda flubbed a little on the health care issue i was parialy out of the room and didnt hear that to well and nader did have outdated info

they both did pretty damn well imho i wonder how many mainstream 2 party folks were watchin

i know it was a little last minute but it was national television they could have hooked up a big ass tv and shown the debate where he was going to speak and he could have rescheduled a personal appearance for them

Barr did not miss it because of scheduling. He missed it because he is refusing to be on the same stage as other 3rd party candidates. This is the same as the Ron Paul event and the previous 3rd party debate. It is a campaign strategy decision to never be at the same event as another 3rd party candidate.

I saw a good chunk of the debate and thought it was pretty good. Although it felt more like a debate against the Republicrats who weren't even there. I know that is inevitable in a 3rd-party debate, I just thought it was a little heavy in that area. Could have been more balanced.

I'm a Baldwin supporter, but I thought he "reached out" to the evangelicals (of which I am one) a little too much.

Nader made some good points, but I heard a lot of "government can/should . . ." between his words.
