Great news for those of us in CA!

Excellent news indeed.

Does anyone have a list of states where Paul qualifies as a write in candidate?

Oh please, the people that vote for Ron Paul in California, you'll be able to count on one hand. The majority of them are for Lenin, I mean Obama, and the minority is for Trotskiy, I mean, McCain.

This is true for every state in the union. Whats your point? I'm just trying to inform like-minded Californians that they now have a real choice.

Well you proved me wrong! All of the people you see in that picture, are, well, all of the people that will vote for a Ron Paul-endorsed candidate in California

Actually about 1/10th of our meetup went to that event. Not to mention California is a huge state, and most of the people who went to that event lived within 30 minutes (it was also during the week).

You have a really bad attitude for a new poster.

You don't even sound like a Ron Paul supporter. You sound like a douchebag. Go ahead and prove me wrong, spout off some more of your opinions and lets see if you really believe in the tenets that Ron Paul espouses.

Have you noticed the steadily declining quality of trolling lately? It's almost offensive that they can't put in the time to at least do it properly.

Normally I'd say let's give him some rope and let him hang himself but apparently he's brought his own.

If your head wasn't so far up your ass, maybe you'd see even RP's ideas don't have a chance in hell of winning, unfortunately. I was just stating the obvious. Your dropout friend here didn't realise it, though.

So Ron Paul will be getting the disgruntled McCain and Bob Barr votes?

You're a rather poor troll. Not even worth poking with a stick.

I refuse.

When I see a troll, I out-troll them. I'll even bring my own reputation down a notch if I can completely destroy their credibility. They are such a friggin waist of time, I like to see them go before they get settled in.

Did you just call me a dropout???

I'm two classes away from my master's degree biatch. MS, not MA. 4.0 GPA.

So being an MS explains why you don't understand the difference between "waist" and "waste?" And I thought we immigrants, especially we non-English-as-a-first-language-speaking ones were idiots.

Oh yeah, yesterday I saw a leprechaun, but I didn't, unfortunately, take any pictures of him.

Ron Paul is NOT a qualified write-in in CA. He would have had to fill out and sign this form: http://www.frankmooreforpresident08.com/forms/california_statement_write-in_2008.pdf and there is no way that would happen.

Obviously I know the difference, but I often type my posts in haste. You, on the other hand, have still not explained how I contradicted myself.

Uhh, I'm pretty sure he is, and I don't think people who are writing him in care very much either way. It's just nice to know it will be counted.

Well...I guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow as Garris said the CA SOS will announce it tomorrow...Is there anywhere on the SOS website to see a list of qualified write-in candidates?

If it doesn't show up on the site I might give them a call to confirm. I have friends in CA who would love to write Ron Paul in.

I thought someone with a GPA of 4.0 and two-semesters from a master's would have enough common sense to figure it out themselves -- you're simply just another product of affirmative action, like a high schooler that graduated but never learned to read.

Interesting that 55 California electors were needed -

So did the Montana Constitution Party need to submit 3 names as electors for their 3 electoral votes ?
- very cool how McCain has tanked in Montana all of a sudden.

Yeah. The number of electors equals the number of representatives plus the senators.
In louisiana, we had to get one elector from each congressional district. (7 total)
plus, 2 at large.

I wouldn't consider myself for either of those people (unless I'm one of those you're counting on one hand :D )

Addition: I wasn't at the rally. Nor were about 25 other RP supporters I know in Southern California that haven't gone to any events but voted for RP in the primaries and would be happy to vote for him again on a write in if they think it will count.

You might try actually going to the Secretary of State's web site instead of Frank Moore's. The rules are here. (http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/election_2008/qualifications/wi_pres_nov2008.pdf)

I will also be voting for Ron Paul. This was great news as I had already voted for all of the other measures on my ballot except the presidential vote. I almost sent it in the other day but waited.:D
