Ok, does anybody know of any reliable free e-mail hosting sites that are not as corrupt and intrusive as Google and its Gmail service?

Google is evil! I used to think fairly well of them, but the recent rash of video count manipulation and the censoring has gone too far. It looks like the well-paid grunts like Ron Paul, but somebody up the ladder doesn't like what he stands for. I want to completely opt-out of it.

Don't know much about it, but http://www.fastmail.fm/ may be what you're looking for.

The government has gotten to all of them. Years ago, there was ziplip.com, which was very secure, and then the government got at them and Ziplip shut down their freemail system because they could no longer provide the privacy they wanted to give their customers. So I am very interested in anything this thread turns up.
