Will Fairness Doctrine further muzzle 3rd parties

I don't know a lot on this piece of legislation, will this hurt - help or make no difference to 3rd parties if it would be re instituted?

You know if they get that, they will pull out all the stops.
I don't see why they wouldn't pull out the Fairness Doctrine.
I think if the Dems have control over the president, the house, and 60 in the senate I think there will at the very least be riots before the year is out.

the name alone of the legislation sounds similar to the Patriot Act... typical branding from DC... is it safe to say anything that sounds all warm and fuzzy from DC usually isnt...

Let's see.

Mainstream media has given us minions of sheep who love socialism from democrats and think the welfare state is necessary.

Talk radio has given us minions of sheep who love socialism from the republicans and think the warfare state is necessary.

Now the one side wants to screw the other side when they serve the same ends (minions of sheep who love big government).

Helping the likes of Limbaugh, Beck, etc for what they have done to conservatism and Ron Paul would be like helping a drowning nazi who was on his way to work at a death camp.

You see, talk radio is just as controlled and bought off as the television news. So you are not really defending anything. The only "free speech" being protected here is the right to equally misinform people. That's why the only thing countering the socialism of the left is the fascism of the right. At the top of the pyramid is the same group of plutocrats laugh at all of us falling into their left-right paradyne.


This legislation makes no difference for us, because we are already screwed by the establishment.

But have we not already circumvented them? What are they going to do, force us to have leftists and neocons in here to give them equal time? I don't think so.


What are they going to do, bail out the banks and let millions of aliens in? Start a war on false pretense? Marginalize and ignore the only presidential candidate who was for less government? They already did all of that.

So let the wolves fight over meat that they have yet to know is already rotten. We can do without them.

What if we didn't go into Iraq and build infrastructure and gain control of the oil etc. Would there have been a vaccum...and who would have filled that vaccum? Russia/China? Does anyone get the feeling this is reallly about Capitalism vs Communism? It seems to me that everything is economically driven. Which would you prefer? Capitalism or Communism? Tones

Regardless of one's opinion of conservative talk radio, I'm opposed to this act because it infringes on the right to free speech. How is the government supposed to know what's "fair" in terms of broadcast content? The FCC? Pfft, those guys represent a really small sample of the American population. Keep the airwaves as open as possible.
