Voting Machines Malfunctioning; Threatening Democracy

Surprise! We can’t trust the voting machines! Again.

With early voting having begun in many states, reports of malfunction are already rolling in. When 19 states don’t even require voting machines to have a paper trail, this is more than a slight nuisance come election day. Florida and West Virginia have both experienced a flood of complaints about ballots being miscast or not counted at all, with officials claiming to solve the problems with “machine recalibration.” If this is a sign of things to come, and it’s safe to say it is, America is in for one heckuva confusing Election Day.

Democracy?

Yup. Most literally "rule by the people." We are a representative republic, otherwise known as indirect democracy.

Is there some other word I should be using?

Can't have a democracy without the Elites getting their fair share of votes.

I doubt they'll cancel the elections, but if it's a close race, we might see another episode of Bush v. Gore.

I guess there's a chance for McCain after all.

If voting machines are rigged this is intentional.

Think about it. If Mccain gets the win the voting fraud will be used to instill anger and hatred; especially among minorities.

We know the goal of the elite is to instill a socialist government and the only way that is possible is through angering the poor. If there is an economical crisis I could see this further destablizing the market as well as angering many people and I can see how they'll put Obama in to fix the problem as their puppet to instate socialism.

I'm not sure that the threat of vote fraud comes from a central power plotting maniacally. More likely, I think, is a bunch of separate groups of partisan hackers trying to throw the election for their candidate. A bunch of pro-Obama computer science majors decide to rig a few voting machines. And then some more.
