View Full Version : Finally got a response from my House Representative, Terry Everett

I lived here during 9/11 also and afterwords, during the surge of patriotism, he was for a military draft. I wrote him about how I was not for a draft and got a response via email the next day. (Circa 2002)

On the Bailout, yes I think it was a "bailout" Mr. Everett, I was much more passionate (fax, my stance on the issue in more detail in email, and phone). Because he isn't running again I figured he didn't care since he was retiring anyway... today I got a letter via mail (snail mail). Could be a mass one his staff did but if you're interested here it is:

That's almost the same letter I got from my Senator, Sherrod Brown.

It's probably a template they were given to use from the interests that convinced them to vote for it.

My suspicion also, that's another reason I posted it to see if it is indeed a template.

Looks like maybe they all got sent a bullet list of talking points to hit. Your letter from Rep. Everett and mine from Sen. Brown both hit the same exact points in the same order, just worded a little bit differently.

I am sorry to bump my own thread but I know 'Spiderman' and some others here are in my district and wanted to get his response from this and see if he was also contacted.
