McCain suggests Obama tax policies are socialist - http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081018/ap_on_el_pr/mccain

"At least in Europe, the Socialist leaders who so admire my opponent are upfront about their objectives," McCain said in a radio address. "They use real numbers and honest language. And we should demand equal candor from Sen. Obama. Raising taxes on some in order to give checks to others is not a tax cut; it's just another government giveaway."

Ok. Good, John. You're getting somewhere.

He also was sharply critical of the Bush administration, saying it should be more aggressive in buying up the home mortgages of those trapped by high interest rates and falling housing values.

"The administration is not doing it. The secretary of the Treasury is not doing it," McCain told the crowd. "We need to buy up these mortgages, give you a mortgage that you can afford, so you can pay your mortgage and realize the American Dream of owning your home."

Grrr. I guess only Republicans who call themselves Conservatives are allowed to talk about Socialist policy without calling it Socialism.

Yep, a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet....

And, you can put lipstick on a pig, and it'll still be a pig.

Yep.. McCain blunders all the time. He's a nerd but I have to support the nerd rather than the communist. McCain was a TERRIBLE pick for the GOP..it was their effort to move more to the center..and i'd say FAIL. Tones

same old...

The same old guy that crushed political speech with McCain-Feingold?

The same old guy that referred to the will of the people as "Third Party Influences" during the immigration debate?

The same old... John McCain.

You keep saying support John McCain, I keep hearing "I'm voting for a tyrant". I get that you don't like Obama. I don't either. Just don't want you to have to tell your grandkids "Yeah, I voted for him too." I'm going to have to tell mine I voted for Bush.

Two times. =(

I've pretty much decided that I'll be writing in Ron Paul since I'm not a fan of anyone who is running this year for various reasons. Baldwin had me until he got too churchy. The only reason I'm voting at all is to vote out the people who voted yes on the bailouts.

I'm a nerd. Don't sully the name of nerds by associating us with a vile warmongering prick like McCain.
