Firstly... Hi all! Been a bit since I've posted. Still spreading the message though. And under the assumption ya'll are doing the same.

But basically, I'm doing debate and have a competition coming up. So I need to know whether a felon can be "legally" drafted. (I know the draft is a bs infringement on rights and all that, just need to know if by the governments definition they can draft a felon.)

Pretty sure they can, just can't seem to find anywhere that says yes or no.

Thanks for the help!

According to CNN http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/04/21/military.waivers/index.html
they can enlist. About the draft, I'm not sure.

Thanks for the response.

I've been looking for ages, but kinda getting the impression that it varies with each draft. So, I assume that means it is possible.

lol, actually, if I can't find it, and nobody here knows, there is absolutely no chance the person I'm debating is gonna know. So I can use it, plus even if it is illegal, they'd still do it right?

Thanks for the help.

I just remembered something...Sherriff Arpaio was in the news a couple years ago because he insisted on signing prisoners up for "selected service"(the draft registry). Maybe he abused his power, but he did it. (and probably still does it)
