Taxes are for the common good.
They always go back to the people anyways.
Obama isn't a socialist. (after saying socialism is for the common good).

Mr. Powell seems to be jockying for a job in a Obama Administration...

Things that make you go, "hmmmmmmmmmm."

Eh, if you accept the conventional wisdom regarding taxes, he's right. I don't agree with him, but he didn't lose too much credit in my book.

just the way he says it and ties "obama is a muslim" to McCain. it just seems that he's more of a statist than I realized.

I can't STAND Colin Powell.
"We" TRUSTED him. "He" is a pwn.
Yongrel, your blog on CP will keep me from spreading your word.
(This is not to disillusion you with the depth of "my message") ;)

He belongs in PRISON.
(this is not to say I ever *really* trusted you in the first place.)
I will NEVER FORGET 9/11

He's right about Obama not being a socialist though. He's a communist.

Who is "right" and wtf does it matter? It's all political jargon that has the same path... It is merely means to the same ends....

Powell was always regarded as a politician first in the army, not a general.

How does it feel to agree with Limbaugh?

"Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race," Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail. "OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed.

Not arguing, just confused.

How does sending billions to Israel, Africa, and a myriad of other countries come back to me?

Both Obama and McCain voted for the bail-out, and either of them will continue.

They are politicians.

Colin Powell has definately lost respect from everyone in his own party. He might as well change parties to communist democrat and hang his head in shame. He only selected Obama because he is black. tones (everyone knows it)

Yep, I said that myself, and I'll stand behind my humble opinion.

No.

American voters should hang their heads in shame...

Next election, if there is one?

Maybe you mall-goers will pay attention.

Otherwise, fuck the bastards!

It amazes others that most Americans ramble on about Liberty, and Capitalism, and remain so impudent.

The rest of us are getting bored shitless...

Powell has shattered a number of glass ceilings, and I applaud him for it. If he is motivated mainly by seeing another one go, well, as I have said numerous times there is very, precious little in the way of substantive differences between those candidates anyway, so wtf? Quite honestly, what else is there to go on with these two bankers' and arms makers' shills?

I was horrified when people on here started talking about their respect for Powel. I always considered him in the same camp as mcCain. Even as a General he was a failure. Ask Storming Norman. Someone please name how he was so respectful and explain all his great policies that match RP's????

No. I had to shoot my 15 year old border-collie 4 weeks ago.

Both of them have skeletons in their closets.

Powell was duty officer at 23rd Div HQ the day the report of the My Lai massacre came in and Powell decided it was not worth investigating.

If you remember the book "Friendly Fire", Storming Norman was the battalion commander that authorized the fire mission that landed on his own troops.

Powell's still ok in my book. At least he finally stood up to the Neo-Cons. 5 years too late- but better late than never. He'll cost McCain a few moderate Republicans and independents... that's for sure. Plus- it's yet another clear signal to the GOP "leadership" that the party's in complete disarray. That should help the Liberty Movement IMHO.

I never liked Powell anyway. The rumor was that he was the one that talked Bush into taking the BS WMD story to the UN. Cheney supposedly wanted to just skip the UN and do the job. Either way there would have been a war but at least Cheney's way wouldn't have involved destroying the credibility of US intelligence (and foreign intelligence for that matter).

He lost all respect the day he helped spread lies at UN to justify Iraqi Freedom Spreading War.
