"Ron Paul Riders"

Two men who believe in the liberty message are dedicating 2 and a half months to bicycle from south California to Washington DC. They are going to stop at every town and hand out RP information.

People are getting excited about the NH walk, and they should. But whereas that person is traveling 38 miles ( I believe ), Ron Paul riders are traveling over 3000 miles.

This will gain not only local, but national and likely international press.

Here's the route, (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=Santa+Monica,+CA&daddr=San+Miguel+Rd+%4032.685880,+-116.978220+to:I-8+E+%4032.683530,+-116.066130+to:S+Avenue+A+%4032.709430,+-114.633270+to:W+Sisson+Rd+%4032.984500,+-112.896890+to:S+16th+St+%4033.439100,+-112.047760+to:S+Kolb+Rd+%4032.209420,+-110.841060+to:I-35+N+%4029.442870,+-98.436080+to:TX-288+S%2FTX-332+E+%4029.043760,+-95.454860+to:S+Sam+Houston+Tollway+E+%4029.600590, +-95.241070+to:I-310+S+%4030.001730,+-90.294310+to:I-95+N+%4030.449080,+-81.652290+to:Savannah+Hwy+%4032.792110,+-80.043500+to:37.553288,-77.4646+to:1st+St+SW+%4038.888650,+-77.012160&mrcr=12,13&mrsp=13&sz=7&mra=dpe&dirflg=h&sll=36.774092,-76.882324&sspn=4.44329,8.876953&ie=UTF8&om=1&ll=39.707187,-97.910156&spn=33.907963,71.015625&z=4)more or less. They will need our help. They will need the meetups.

They cannot do this alone. They cannot be ignored. Their website, http://ronpaulriders.com/ , should be coming soon. We need to use this to plan a massive attack.

Check the route. Are you somewhere along the way? Contact your media. Contact national media. Get ready for the largest political push to ever hit the country. This is the real deal.

Is everybody afraid of something so large? Can you handle commitment? hhaahha....

People, this is the largest political move possibly in the history of time. And it's going to happen, if you help them or not. So, help them!

Wow, with a route like that they should pass out plenty of material on Ron's illegal immigration positions.

You do realize we are going to need protection right?

I can see Giuliani members trying to organize spike strips or something diabolical

I'd say bust out a big map, determine where the Meetup groups are geographically. Contact each Organizer and have them distribute the info to their members --- they'll DEFINITELY get support and get the message out.

No one needs to ride along with them. Just spread the word. Contact your meetup groups. Start talking about it.

However, if you WOULD like to join them on their journey, you can. At any point in the way. They would like that very much.

And, I think they're looking for a support vehicle, so if anyone can..

This along with Ron Paul radio is my #1 project. Of everything in my life ;)

Before they ride into DC, they want to meet up with a bunch of people a day before they ride into DC. That way, when they end their journey, possibly 100's of riders ride in with them ;)

So, spend a day to help it grow ;)

I'm going to look for a youtube video of a bunch of bicyclers, so you can have an idea what it looks like ;)

If I was single and didn't have kids to support, I'd quit my job today to join them. I was disappointed that they're taking the far south route, rather than through Utah/Colorado. Anything that others can do to help?

No no it's not permanent ;)

Yeah, they're taking the far south route because they start Oct. 21, and go on into December. So, north, mountains, bad idea. lol :)

I'll see if I can get a donation email for them, and their website should be up soon with tons of cool stuff.

This isn't the one I wanted to find, but it's one. hah

This is what we'll be doing in DC, at the end of their grueling journey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLq6xbm8EBA

I love the idea and the dedication involved but I think their route needs some help. They are missing some of the largest cities in the southern US where there are decent sized meetups.

Hit Atlanta! Hit Greenville! Hit Charlotte! Hit Raleigh! Hit Richmond! Then DC. If they are trying to get press coverage it makes no sense to miss the big cities in the South.

Yeah, that's a good suggestion. I'll pass that on to them :)
