I was watching an interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEUmBOFy3jw&NR=1) with Montell Williams from a few months ago, and I really liked what he had to say. I am not sure where he stands on the issues but he seems to have the moral fiber, the integrity, and the desire to stand up for whats right that got Ron Paul Revolution flowing.
What do you think?

He can have the integrity all he want; if he doesn't agree then why should I vote for him?

I think he'd legalize weed. Is he against all these stupid fn wars? If so he'd get my vote. We can teach him about the federal reserve.

I like Montel Williams from what Ive seen and know of him on his talk show he used to have. He seems like a good person. I dont know where he really stands in a political sence, but as a person, he seems to be a great guy. President....???? i doubt he has the strength left to even consider it. His bout with MS is really starting to hit him hard. I feel bad for him.

I wish i could find the link but he destroyed FOX News in an interview last year on the war. So much so, i read he got fired and his show was cancelled from what he said against the war.
Maybe someone else can find the youtube link....I cant seem to find it right now.

Oh, you "think" he'd legalize it? Because there's not a doubt in my mind that Gary Johnson was the highest ranking person in government (out of entire country) against prohibition. Of course that was until he decided the governor of NM should have term limits and left on it. =)

Ummm.... you don't know where he stands on the issues, but you want to see if he'd run for President?
His integrity and moral fiber don't mean squat, if he doesn't hold the principles we are trying to further.

He would definitely legalize it for medical purposes and is public about the fact he uses it himself. He also said this about recreational marijuana:
PR.com: The reason I made that comment, saying all of those pills are legal, is because I wanted to make a point to say that, because I know individuals who have become physically addicted to those pills, who had used them for recreational purposes. So, why are cigarettes legal? Why is alcohol legal? Why is Marijuana not legal? Why is the federal government afraid of Marijuana?
Montel Williams: It's a dog chasing its own tail. It's happened in our government over and over again. When lies are told they have to be perpetuated. And they have to be perpetuated at the most extreme level they can be. If you really dig into why marijuana is illegal in this country, it wasn't made illegal because people feared it as a [harmful] drug. We knew that financially, you can't make money off of it.

This isn't to say he should run as opposed to Johnson, he might not even want to run with his health conditions. Plus, we don't really know all his stances at this point, though a quick look at his Wikipedia page shows he opposed the online gambling restrictions imposed in the port security bill, and was critical of the media's handling of the Iraq War. But we can say he's right on these things at least, and is by all accounts a nice guy with great integrity.

Gary Johnson is still my top pick. I got to live in New Mexico at the end of his term and the beginning of Bill Richardson's. I got to live in the somewhat prosperous state that Gary Johnson helped to create, and I got to see Richardson's liberal policies cut into that prosperity before I moved back to Louisiana.
Gary Johnson 2012!
After seeing the top of Mt. Everest, what is left but the Presidency?

Quote from interview in OP: "The media is attempting to control this election instead of just report the news."
And here is why he got fired... speaking the truth to Fox News.

I'd support him for president easily against McCain and Obama, just as I'd support any honest person against liars. Montel is a former Marine, a great speaker, he's used to being in front of cameras all the time, and millions of people love him. People like this must be recruited to work on our side where possible.
Gary Johnson sounds great. That doesn't mean he won't need help.

A few months ago, someone asked me why I was voting for Ron Paul. My answer then is basically the same answer I have now -- I am voting for a honest man who displays common sense. When I get a a pool of them to choose from in each election, then I will be a little more choosy by voting for the candidate who most closely matches my views.
Without honesty and integrity, what does it matter if the candidate appears to adhere to the principles you are trying to further. Many thought Bush would adhere to principles that they later felt he hadn't.
