Ron Paul appeared on CNN's "American Morning" on Friday, pushing the same apocalyptic message he served up during the Republican primaries, with one difference. His prediction of doom makes a heck of a lot more sense now than it did then.

Not saying this will ever happen, but the electorial college can vote for whoever they want, even if they weren't on the presidential ballot.

True, but it won't happen haha Weren't the presidential electors chosen similarly to how the GOP chose its convention delegates? If so, maybe Paul will get a vote. Mayyyybe.

Ha! Laugh now, funny boys!

Really, they're just teasing us, I'm afraid.

European leaders are calling for an international summit meeting, to be held perhaps as early as November. Bloomberg News reports that among the possibilities being considered are "more international supervision for cross-border banks, a global 'early warning' system for crises, a revamp of the International Monetary Fund, tougher regulations on hedge funds, new rules for credit rating companies, limits on executive pay and punishments for excessive risk-taking."

Sigh. THey don't get it.

If Ventura runs on a C4L platform, the revolution will die the same death that the reform party died. Lonely and unnoticed.

Ventura seems too into himself and too edgy. Plus, his crazy conspiracies will get him nowhere. He pretty much has no place in national politics after his 9/11 crap.

We need someone fresh to do something. Someone who is excited and charismatic and can deliver the message well and fight back when necessary, and obviously have Libertarian views in mind. I wish I knew more politicians, but sadly, nope.

If BJ Lawson wins his race and delivers on his promise to be an effective representative for liberty, I can see him running for prez in 2020. That's about the earliest I think we can realistically hope for, barring some sort of unforseen meteoric rise of an Obama-like liberty lover.

It could if it becomes obvious that high treason is involved. Then it would make a lot of sense.

I just cant imagine him being healthy enough in 4 years

Sure he'll be healthy enough, but I think it'll come down to him wanting to care for his family and relax a bit. He most likely exercises more than the average American and eats healthy.

Of course Paul will be healthy, he just probably won't have the energy to run a nation. Face it, being 77 and leading an entire country like America for the first time is a daunting task.

He is pretty healthy I think . . .

but maybe he might end up with a cabinet post now - Obama needs RP in his bipartisan administration along with GOP Senator Lugar.

Ron Paul would make an excellent Attorney General. With his knowledge of the Constitution that would be right up his alley. He would be in an excellent position to protect the US citizens.

This may not be a crazy idea. The media is almost portraying him as an "advisor" anyway during this current crisis.

Stop begging. The people have voted and they want war, empire, socialism, and cops with big guns and tazers.

Ron said no way last year but was talked into it for the greater good. I expect the same to happen in 2012 - and this time, we'll actually know what we're doing.
