View Full Version : A New Bubble is Forming.

Lately, we have been hearing the term "bubble" quite often. This, of course, is always referring to bubbles in the economy. These bubbles send false signals to investors, entrepenuers, and businessmen which eventually cause economic harm that trickles down to hurt the poor and middle class the most.

There is, however, a new bubble forming. It is one that has not been seen in over two hundred years. This one has more to it than just economic effects. I call this new one the "Liberty Bubble." Unlike the others, this one has extraordinarily positive effects. Right now, it is in the process of being inflated. If it is to fully inflate to the size needed, it will require a tremendous amount of intervention in our current social and economic system.

When economic bubbles eventually pop, the harmful effects are unleashed on the ill-prepared public. Conversely, when the Liberty Bubble reaches the size needed, it will pop and have an overwhelming effect on our country.

Lost to the majority of the public is one of the greatest American traditions. One where if you work hard and make good decisions, you have a 90% chance that you will achieve your goals. That is not the case in America anymore. Our system is being insidiously led on a path that forces most American's to take a corporate 9-5 job to provide for their family. How did we end up on this path? Well, quite simply, we forget what the word liberty means and how to uphold its' principles.

To those of you who are not quite following me, and if you want to see our country return to greatness and wealth. I suggest you get on the internet and research the economic and social aspects of liberty. Study what the founders of our country fought for. Know the constitution. Listen to the advice of James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. ***DEMAND*** from our elected officials what we as a nation once believed in and understood.

Are we going to be the generation that sits idly by and watches our country go down the path of socialism or fascism? A path that squanders our wealth, our standard of living, and our happiness. We are already speeding down that path. We must slow it down, and defeat it, with our Liberty Bubble.

For those of you who are currently engaged in this fight, I commend and admire you. Keep spreading the message that our nation's media will not acknowledge. For those that want to know more, I suggest you start by looking at www.campaignforliberty.com

I just had some thoughts that I typed up quickly. They sounded good in my head.. so I was thinking of trying to get it in some op-eds.

Let me know if you guys think anything should be changed or added, or any advice/grammar problems.

I might make a few changes to it, but I just got home from work. I have a few things to do. I will check back in this thread in a couple of hours. Thanks in advance.

Great concept- I would clean up the last sentence in paragraph 2. Simply explain the liberty issues that are causing this bubble to inflate- mandated healthcare, warrant less searches, homeschooling restrictions, etc...

paragraph 6-last sentence needs tweaked...

Nice work!!!

Would we need a $800 billion bailout if the "liberty bubble" bursts? :D

I definitely anticipate student loanbubble. Just like with housing, it has been way too easy for students to borrow money for school. I've seen irresponsible kids fill out some forms on a website and get checks for $2500 a few weeks later.

You wouldn't believe how many college students are dependent on these types of loans just to survive. Those who can't get loans next year will have to find jobs and start paying their loans back if they can't continue their schooling. And with unemployment rising, many of them will default on their payments.

This is going to get even more interesting.

EDIT: wait, what thread am i in? lol

Good, I hope unemployment continues to rise and these students are forced to accept more "demeaning" or should I say, "humbling" jobs ... no offense, but I'm tired of being told there are jobs that Americans don't want to do, like picking apples off trees or cleaning hotel rooms, or working at McDonalds. It's time for students to understand they don't always get to have a mini-internship in the business sector related to their field of study every summer and will have to WORK HARD for the privilege of attending college. Unfortunately they feel entitled to be served by immigrants and also get easy credit to go to school.

I like the "Liberty Bubble" angle a lot.

I'd also put in that the Liberty Bubble, like the other bubbles we're seeing in the economy, are driven by a crisis of confidence - in government.

Sorry Comrad, this is America not the USSR, we don't believe in communism around here.

I believe the free market should decide who gets a free lunch and an all expenses paid education with X% interest free loans while you're in school, etc, etc... not the government.

If you want something, work your ass off and earn it, or prove you're a good investment and you deserve to have the money loaned to you. Don't be dependant on government.

Why the hell are we giving loans out to fucking kids that don't even want to go to school except to party and get laid, so they can get a liberal arts degree? Seriously, fuck them, let them go work at McDonalds. If you're worth investing in, like you worked your ass off in highschool for good grades, and got accepted at a good college to be a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, whatever, and it makes sense to invest in you, then the free market will provide you with all the loans you could ever need. There are tons of private companies and investors out there looking for good returns on their investments willing to lend you the money and invest in you.

I'm seriously sick and tired of this welfare nanny state entitlement mentality. Just because you're a student doesn't mean you're exempt. All welfare is bad, personal welfare, corporate welfare, foreign aid welfare, etc, etc.... and that goes for student welfare too.
