Daily Show (preferably) or Colbert Report, but he's never been on either one and now is his time. He's all over every other network and he's got a new book out. This is the email I sent, feel free to use it or modify it:

As early as August of 2006, Peter Schiff has railed against Washington and the mortgage industry for taking on so many sub-prime loans. When people were laughing at him and calling him crazy he was naming names and pointing fingers at many of the individuals and companies who we're all shouting at and itching to lynch. He's a regular contributor on CNBC, CNN, Fox, and Fox Business networks. He's also released a new book, "The Little Book of Bull Moves in Bear Markets," that you can discuss on the show. He has a very dedicated following and his words are practically scripture to many people. I think it would be a great benefit to him, your show, and the viewing audience to have him as a guest.

I sent this to thedailyshow@comedycentral.com, steve.albani@comedycentral.com, & renata.luczak@comedycentral.com. You can also post a guest request on their forums.

Just emailed all 3 of them this:

Hi,

I would like to request Peter Schiff as a guest. I just finished reading his book "Bull moves in bear Markets" and he truly did predict this economic struggle way before it happened. He is a very bright and charismatic character and would be great on both "The Daily Show"
and "Colbert Report".

Thank You,

Clay Trainor

Good Idea. Here's what I wrote.
I even included something about the penny bet.

I would like to ask you to consider having Peter Schiff as one of Jon's guests on The Daily Show. I heard about him in early 2007 and he has been pin pointing with extreme accuracy the troubles we are having in the financial markets as far back as 2006. He is on pretty much every National News outlet every day talking about this. Also he made a bet on a National News Network with another financial analyst Arthur Laffer back in 2006 for a penny and we would like to see him pay up. I think he would make a great guest on both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Thank You
Eric Redfield

I think Schiff has the witty type of humor that would fit in well on these shows, also.

I dunno, he doesn't really come across as a funny guy. Would he be able to take the ridicule well?

Have you watched his clips? He has been ridiculed/laughed at forever! The guy can take it, and give it back. He can do this because he knows he is right. Peter would do awesome!

Good point. I'm still stunned by Colbert's interview with Jesse Ventura. Ventura couldn't take a joke and bombed. I just don't want the same to happen to Peter Schiff.

Sent to all 3!:)

Hello,

I would like to request Peter Schiff as a guest. If anyone knows anything about the current state of the economy its definitely Peter Schiff. I think it would be a great opportunity for the general public to get some true understanding of what happening in the economy today. I just finished reading his book "Bull moves in bear Markets" and he truly did predict this economic struggle way before it happened. He is a very bright and charismatic character and would be great on both "The Daily Show"
and "Colbert Report".

Thank You,

Maximilian Irving

I prefer he appear on the Daily Show because, even though I'm a big Colbert fan, Stephen Colbert usually dominates the conversation and plays a lot of devil's advocate. I think he'd get more talk time, reach a larger audience, and give some balance to the typical socialists on the Daily Show.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. I'm sending them at least one email a week until he's on one of their shows.

I agree...Colbert's show is a lot more entertaining than the Daily Show to me, but Stewart usually gives his guests a lot more room for discussion.

uhhh Jesse is a god damn SEAL.

I think that's why he said it, because it would be sort of ironic. He wasn't completely serious, just in reference to his appearance on Colbert.

Anyway, I am going to send a few e-mails in a minute...

Ok, here's what I said:

I am a pretty regular viewer of The Daily Show and would really like to suggest that you have a certain guest on as soon as possible. Peter Schiff is president of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., is the author of the books Crash Proof and The Little Book of Bull Moves in Bear Markets, and was the economic adviser to Ron Paul's presidential campaign. He has been practically prophetic in his predictions of the economy over the last couple years yet, unbelievably, people still don't take him seriously. Here are a few videos from 2006 that show what I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60CLQse27p8, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfascZSTU4o and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoB4BS7CGAw. He has been laughed at and treated like a moron, all the while remaining calm in the arguments as he knows he's right. I think it's really important that Americans see that there are people (i.e. those who know the Austrian School of economics) who saw this crisis coming and, more importantly, they see that those people are STILL being played off and ignored. Instead of continuing to follow the people who lead us into problem after problem, shouldn't we start listening to the people who saw all this coming and start making the changes they say we need to make? It would be good for you, good for Mr. Schiff, and especially great for your viewers.

Thanks,
