My previously posted allegory of THE GREAT TOMATO BUBBLE serves as the foundation of this easy-to-understand educational/activist site.

I tweaked the original story to make it more comprehensive but still keeping the basic simplicity. ANYONE who reads it can grasp the monetary and political fraud that is responsible for all the economic bad news people hear today.

Added other pages for non-economics people to learn quickly and easily. IMHO, I think this is a good concept. Nothing original as far as economic theory goes.....but its simplicity in teaching "newbies" is what makes it different than most economics resources.

Please E-mail the link widely and post everywhere. I've gotten very positive feedback from people who've read it and now say "Now I understand!"

Let me know if there are other references, quotes, links, suggestions that you want me to add to the site. A feedback/comments form is included.

Whoo-hoo! Standing ovation!!

I love the changes and the site is amazing - you really hit one out of the park, max!

A suggestion for the page of video links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbyQB8e-rQg . It's also a great intro for newbies. It will totally reinforce your tomato story.

Woot for max!!!

Nice! Looks good. Spread this site around. If anybody is good with computer stuff it would be cool if they could make and narrate a good video for youtube.

I love it.. except.. from "All except for John that is" to "my newspaper contacts will ruin him" ..

there's no real need to go beyond explaining how this scheme works.

I felt it was important to also explain why such obvious economic truths are never covered in the media. People will instinctively ask themselves "If this scheme is true, why have I never heard this before if it's true?" or "Why do the politicians allow this?"

So I thought that mystery should be addressed.

I would get rid of all of this:

TOMATOBUBBLE.COM
THIS WEBSITE'S PURPOSE IS TO REVEAL HOW THE PRIVATELY OWNED FEDERAL RESERVE BANKING CARTEL, ITS PUPPET POLITICIANS, AND THE CONTROLLED MEDIA ARE ROBBING YOU BLIND.
********************************

Just go straight into the story. That introduction would probably make a lot of people quit reading. It's sorta like telling the punch line of a joke first.

I think what you said here "So, when my victims read the The Tomato Street Journal, or hear Professor Pointyhead speak on TV, my false teachings are reinforced in their minds." explains that bit pretty well.

Maybe something short like "any dissenting voice of reason that might expose my scheme is labeled as a 'kook' or 'nutjob' and quickly dismissed."

And move the picture of Mortimer down the page, to the beginning of "The Setup" (not "The Set Up").

Compound word pairs (setup/set up, turnoff/turn off, blowback/blow back, etc.) are generally verbs if they have a space, and nouns if there is no space.

Did you mean to link to part 2 of that set instead of part 1? I think part 1 has more "punch".

It's really looking good - lots of good feedback from everyone so far. Thanks for writing the story and building the site, max. I predict it will wake up a whole lot of new people. :)

Good job Max!

A couple of things. You opened with:

Ever wonder how so many people can be in so much debt at the same time? Does it seem strange to you no matter how hard you work, and in spite of all the advances in society, hard working people cannot escape the teadmill of perpetual debt?

Should be treadmill.

Next, the article that started me opening my eyes after years of being sealed shut by public indoctrination camps we call "public education", is this one:

I want the earth plus 5% (http://www.relfe.com/plus_5_.html). Did you read it? It is a great primer as well. Written in 1971 by Larry Hannigan.

A great resource to post on your site.

Spelling / grammar mistakes.

Also, add this to QFT section

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies . . . If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] . . . will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered" —Thomas Jefferson

That's what I said before the site even went up.

I know we all want to "expose the truth", but baby steps... It would be a shame if someone read through it, open minded and ready to believe, then got to the end and assumed the entire thing was conspiracy bullshit.

My 2c. anyway.

thanks for seeing it constructively. while i enjoyed reading the first version, it's going to appeal more to people already informed of our government's atrocities. everyone else (the large majority) would see it as paranoid lunacy. even the current version is questionable, but that might be a good thing.

If you want to appeal to a wide audience, and in a fun, light-hearted way, maybe there should be a page dedicated to humorous (but still educational) videos. Here's a few from memory:

Bird & Fortune - brilliant British comedians

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXBcmqwTV9s [Financial Advisor]

I got some feedback about toning it down further. The mechanics of the fractional reserve system are shocking enough as a primer. Mentioning that the FED is illegal for instance, just turns off the casual reader.

This is only feedback, so I can appreciate if it is ignored, but if the goal is to truly be effective, we as a group have to learn to stop preaching to the crowd, or our own constituency.

Great idea though max. I did share it with some friends.

.

i removed the word "illegal" from both the income tax and the Fed...

you're right, the casual reader can figure out himself how sick and twisted this all is...

checks out quoted for truth page...added a bunch more quotes with photos

max, I humbly suggest removing this as well:
Ever notice the pyramid on the back of a US dollar bill with the eyeball on top? That's our company logo!No need to introduce Illuminati conspiracy theory memes at the end. It just detracts from the lesson you are trying to teach IMO. Let people understand the mechanics of the situation and they will naturally begin to think about the politics that led to its creation. Put the politics in people's faces and the lesson gets lost.

what i'll do is leave the image up with the caption "pyramid scheme"...but remove that line about "our company logo".....

readers can then still connect that image on the dollar bill to a sinister plot on their own if they are so inclined...

Max, I'm not opposed to conspiracy theories, but I think it's important to have one purpose per site. So, another site could introduce people to these ideas, or discuss how the bankers manipulate public opinion.

That way, if someone is willing to accept one idea but not the other, they will not reject both. Please PLEASE change this, I honestly think it'd be best to leave it at the prof pointyhead part, and not even go into John -- the bit about supporting Paul for example, feels good to write, but smacks of self gratification. I'd like to send this to friends, but I don't feel comfortable doing it until it's really just about the "tomato bubble" if you will -- how money manipulation creates the problems.

Great job on the site though!
